With reference to the earlier announcement dated July 05, 2008 regarding the Ammonia Plant operations of the Company were disrupted on July 03, 2008 due to technical problems of Air Compressor of Ammonia Plant. Consequently, the downstream plants viz. Urea, Methyl Formate, Formic Acid, Acetic Acid, Ammonium Nitrophosphate (ANP) and Toluene Di-Isocynate (TDI) Plants were also shutdown, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) has now informed BSE that after attending to the technical problems of Air Compressor of Ammonia Plant, the operations of Ammonia Plant were started and Ammonia production was achieved on July 17, 2008 and the aforesaid downstream plants were subsequently started and stabilized. Methanol - II (Synthesis Reactor) Plant which was under shutdown for revamp has resumed production on July 24, 2008. All the plants of the Company are now running normal. |
