Kotak Mah Bk FY08 net seen up 81% at Rs 972 cr

Kotak Mahindra Bank is to announce its Q4 and FY08 numbers. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, the bank is expected to post 29.9% growth in its Q4 net profit at Rs 221.27 crore as against Rs 170.33 crore and 35.36% growth in net interest income at Rs 445.33 crore versus Rs 328.99 crore.

For FY08, it is likely to report 80.66% growth in net profit of Rs 972.4 crore as against Rs 538.24 crore and 56.68% growth in net interest income of Rs 1641 crore as against Rs 1047.35 crore.

FY08 EPS is expected to be at Rs 28.25 versus 16.5.

Robust net interest income is to be partially offset by higher provisions and opex. Lower income from capital market businesses is expected.
