Franklin Templeton MF launches FHF Sr IX Plan C

Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd, today announced the launch of their new scheme - Templeton Fixed Horizon Fund - Series IX - Plan C, a close-ended debt scheme. The primary investment objective of the scheme is to seeks to generate returns and reduce interest rate volatility, through a portfolio of fixed income securities with a maturity profile generally in line with the fund's duration. The New Fund offer commences on July 17, 2008 and closes on July 23, 2008.

The scheme offers two options viz. Growth option and Dividend option. The minimum application amount is Rs 5000/- and in multiples of Re 1 thereafter. The scheme will not charge any entry, while exit load of 2.50% will be charged if exited before maturity date.

The scheme will invest up to 100% in debt securities and money market instrument. The exposure in securitised debts shall be up to 100%. The scheme makes exposure in derivatives up to a maximum of 50%. The Benchmark index of the scheme is Crisil Short Term Bond Fund Index.
