The PCR (Put Call Ratio) did inch up a wee bit. We will get the exact details tomorrow but close to that 1.3 levels, mostly 10 out 10 indicators from the F&O space were positive today on the turnover front, we picked up so you looked at it we clocked in close to Rs 70,000 crore on turnover picking up from the average of Rs 60,000 crore yesterday, day before we were clocking in Rs 50,000 crore and last week we had about Rs 45,000 crore. So it was good buying on good volumes. A lot of stocks were above and rallied more than 5% in today’s trade on the Nifty Futures front we saw some bit of long buildup continue which is why you saw day end, go into about 23 point premium that’s a July futures there. The August futures was at the 4500 mark so the discount, the August futures had to the July Futures, also vanished in today's trading session. So therefore that was some bit of positive, possibly, small signs of even long rollovers getting initiated. We also saw a fair bit of Put buildup at the 4400-4300 and 4200 level, so that whole base, the chunk of Put buildup happened and went to higher levels and Put IVs did come down. There was aggressive Put writing seen in today's trade. Stocks Specific Action: The banking space looked the best today. Yes Bank went into a pretty smart premium. This is a 1.50-point premium just one week before expiry so very sharp premium there. The stock saw about a 28% OI buildup. Kotak Mahindra Bank also rallied pretty sharply. 1.74 lakh shares accounts to about 22% OI buildup and very smart premium on that counter as well. Nagarjuna Constructions also rallied pretty well and was up about 15% in today's trade with 5 lakh shares as the OI buildup. Moser-Baer was up about 8.4% and the stock saw 4.03-lakh buildup in OI which accounts to about 30%. So good long seen in this counter. A lot of stocks like Sesa Goa which was up 14%, were driven up by a fair bit of short covering. Sesa Goa shed about 10% of its OI. |
