The Supreme Court has asked Mid-day to vacate Radio One's 92.5 frequency in Mumbai. This gives Reliance ADAG's Big 92.7 FM the all-clear signal to launch in the city, reports CNBC-TV18. Mid-day was pitching this as the proverbial battle between David and Goliath! but David seems to have lost. Radio One has three weeks to move to the 94.3 frequency. Mid-day had moved the Supreme Court last week after the TD SAT ruled it should vacate its four-year old frequency in Mumbai.

The company claimed it had already spent Rs 4 crore on rebranding itself as Radio-One, and did not want to hand over its 9 lakh listenership in the city to new player Reliance.
