Asian markets end higher

Asian markets ended higher. China's Shanghai Composite rose 2.55% or 72.44 points at 2,910.29. Japan's Nikkei gained 2.18% or 290.38 points at 13,603.31. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.80% or 58.25 points at 7,368.08. South Korea's Seoul Composite added 2.16% or 34.38 points at 1,626.14. However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.20% or 46.83 points at 23,087.72. Singapore's Straits Times ended flat at 2,977.91. Asian markets @ 8:11am Asian markets trading firm Asian markets were trading firm. China's Shanghai Composite surged 1.05% or 29.81 points at 2,867.66. Japan's Nikkei gained 1.27% or 168.78 points at 13,481.71. Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 0.31% or 72.58 points at 23,207.13. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.12% or 8.65 points at 7,318.48. Singapore's Straits Times was up 0.06% or 1.66 points at 2,977.32. South Korea's Seoul Composite rose 1.72% or 27.36 points at 1,619.12. |
