Taj is Taj. and Tatas are Tatas. And India is India. nobody can bring our country and the economy down. thats for sure. Jai Hind.

ok, coming to Monsanto. Its my alltime fav stock.
i simply love this stock. i don`t mind holding this stock even for 50 years ;) lol. i just can`t put a sell or hold call on this stock. its a bluest of the bluechips and its a multibagger stock. i feel corn business is going to be its bumper cash generating machine. i feel it will touch levels like 4000-5000 in 2 years time if one can wait patiently. thats what makes it a wealth generator and a true solid investment grade stock. 180-200 kind of dividends are definitely possible and one can expect good dividend from this stock. but depends as the cash position and finance position across the corporates are cautious....so dividends may not actually happen. but its possible for this company to give 180-300 dividend if it wishes. well....lets wait and watch. coming to BT cotton its no.1 and its a debt free company. a beautiful business model and a solid management. it needs to increase the float and then trading volumes will pick up.
as of now its a buy for long term.

Two terror victims face different fate on D-St MUMBAI: Shares of Indian Hotels Company and EIH, which own the Taj and the Trident chain of hotels, respectively, showed contrasting trends on Friday when the stock market opened for trading after a break on the previous day. While the IHC stock was the among the worst performers of the day, shedding 17%, the EIH stock rallied from the day’s lows to close over 5% higher. The Taj and the Trident were the main targets of terror attacks that began late Wednesday, and have suffered extensive damage in the process. Market watchers expect both stocks to be under pressure in the near term, as the damaged properties accounted for a significant chunk of both companies’ revenues. “The financial impact on Indian Hotels and EIH would be immense as the targeted properties contributed a huge chunk to the business volume,” said a strategist at a domestic broking entity. “Trident Towers and Taj Mahal Palace accounted for 30-35% of the profits for EIH and Indian Hotels, respectively,” he added. Interestingly, some feel the impact on IHC would be much higher as the margins in the case of Taj Mahal Palace were already on the decline. “Taj Mahal Palace is a heritage structure complete with exquisite chandeliers, carpets and paintings,” said an analyst, tracking Indian Hotels. “With the operating costs rising, margins are getting squeezed,” he added. For the quarter ended September 30, 2008, net profits of EIH and Indian Hotels were down 17% each when compared to the preceding quarter. Hotel stocks have been under pressure in the recent past on account of the ongoing global and domestic economic crisis. Most of the listed hotel stocks have more than halved since the start of the current calendar year. Reports clearly suggest that the occupancy rates of most hotels are nowhere close to the numbers registered in the corresponding period last year. Edelweiss Capital, in a note to its clients, said: “Foreign tourist inflows are likely to slow down,” said the note, adding that “overseas clients, such as those of Indian IT companies, may postpone their visits.” Already, there have been reports of around 15% cancellations in airline bookings as some western countries have either issued travel advisories or cautions. The stock price of Indian Hotels fell 17.03% to close at Rs 40.20 on Wednesday. Meanwhile, EIH managed to gain 5.22% to end the day at Rs 97.75. The stock, however, is down 53% since January this year. Three analysts have recommended ‘sell’ in the case of EIH. ...

Pl give your inputs for entry for Monsanto SKF and P&G I would give good weight age for BIMETAL Bearing . Last 6 Months results indicates EPS of Rs 16.65. Equity very small 3.85 Cr and Public Holding is 26 % only. It is a good Bonus Candidate also and dividends are 60% plus and at price of Rs 120 is good buying opportunity. Regards, Manher ...
