Please have a look at the just launched Birla equity linked FMP. You can invest 30% in it and rest in ordinary FMPs....

Regarding your 1st query u cannot keep the PF more than 2 months. U have to withdraw it. Keep it in RBI Bond or FD's of Banks or if U have the knowledge invest in Mutual Funds or Gold Funds....
