Please don\\\\`t listen to what people are talking.

Nuclear energy is extremely not commercially viable.
Initial Cost of setting up plant is 1.7 times that of Thermal power plant and close to wind turbine.

But Wind Turbine once installed doesn\\\\`t require any further costs like fuel or maintenance.

Only an idiot will build a nuclear power plant and sell energy.

If nuclear energy is so viable then USA would have made it their primary source of energy. USA still get their energy from Coal!!!

I just wanted people to caution on such bogus claims of 4 lakh crore investment in nuclear power.

With 4 lakh crore you can build 1 lakh Mega Watt capacity of wind power plants.

India currently produces 1.16 Lakh Mega watts power.

Web is full of information on current installed capacities. Future additions etc. Please do your research and you will make better decision.

Hailing the Congress approval to the Indo-US nuclear agreement as a "major victory" for the Bush Administration, the White House has said it is looking up to the private sector in both the countries to take lead in implementing the landmark pact.

We now look to the US and Indian private sectors to take the lead in implementing the agreement and beginning cooperation.

The opportunities now available for US investment in India's civil nuclear sector are enormous, and we encourage our private sector to take advantage of every opportunity," Fratto said.

Terming the nuclear agreement as a new beginning in the Indo-US bilateral relations, he expressed confidence that both the country will abide by the commitments made in the 123 agreement. -PTI-ET

Any visit by Reliance Industries Ltd’s chief, Mr Mukesh D. Ambani, to the Capital’s corridors of power is bound to create a flutter.
