The most original compliment paid to me and that I liked most on this Board was in a conversation between KFactor and VFMdirect: (Q)Bhavani's posts are much like a needle piercing a banana: it goes in so smoothly that even the banana does not know it has been pricked (UQ).

The most effective anti-compliment came from Googol Anna: Bhavani, if there are even a score of Boarders who understand the intricacies of this post of yours, I will stop writing here.

I resorted to pidgin-English (that is Chinese english, for you)for quite a few weeks thereafter. Ever since I have made a concerted effort to re-read my posts and edit off any Americanese that still creeps in from time to time.

sarcasm.... but i like it... thats because she has most guessing and noone sure... thats bhawanis trademark,,, though i have born the brunt a few times.. still i manage to admire this youngster cos she never gives one a chance to be dead certain... Brilliant this gal... i like her writing.. nothing insipid about it.... no mills and boons this...

Now you have me blushing all over, Aunty. Yes, I do love writing, and have done quite a bit while at Graduate school, writing about market modelling for the students of non-finance non-math/statistics faculties, much layfolks in this subject. Money management for dummies is something I co-authored in those days at the Uni, a few, not many, years ago.

Bhavani - did you notice that most people were cribbing when the new format was introduced? But ask for specific feedback and the response is at best lukewarm - I pity the mod, more so because now she does not seem to be of rakshas descent.

That is because if one looks at it dispassionately bereft of egos it is basicaly the fear of the unknown that makes everyone more comfortable with a status quo and restless with any change. My MIL, for instance, went sleepless for a couple of days when we merely changed her pillow. Why, even Vanaja, the baby, seemed to be ill at ease when we changed the orientation of her crib. Even when we change our TV or fridge for a newer version we do feel the older one was more easy to handle. It is just this that has had all of us, including me, on tenterhooks as an initial reaction. We onlt tend to see what we miss at any stage and not what we gain till we use all the new features.

Having said that I should admit the MOD has turned out to be a very efficient spokesperson for MMB both the management as also the users and taken everyone on board efffectively letting go the small fish to get the big one for herself.

One of the hallmarks of my writing, thanks to the training under great correspondents like sns and Poorna, has been that even if you cannot make more friends at least make sure that our remarks do not create new enemies. And I am not unique, both of us do know very many kind-hearted souls on this Board and elsewhere too.

Have you noticed that whenever the Moderator answers a question or addresses the community.. the gender is never specified also we never specify whether we are a team of individual or just one individual running the show.. Did that give you a hint?

The best place for fundamental analysis is Google. ENter the company name and chase the links. Hindu Business Line will give 4-5 good notes. If the company has a website, that will be a good place. Do u go to ICICIBANK account and filter on EBA entries and see withdrawals deposits, minus one from another and arrive at ur profits or do you go to ICICIDIRECT and total the trade book?
