The Department of Telecommunications is ready with the release of
qualification norms for selecting the bidder to operate mobile number
portability database.

It will be interesting to see how the portability works and who will be the major beneficiary of this in the telecom companies. New entrants will be at a major advantage with the virtual network model and also now by this portability operator model. Very interesting landscape is getting developed in this sector. I think we are going to see a major consolidation in the next 3 years in telecom sector as there are too much players in the sector which is impossible to sustain in the longer term.

Coal India resorts to imports; to buy 4 million ton coal in 1 year. Coal ministry identifies 75 coal, 20 lignite block for captive use. For the first time in its history, state-owned Coal India Ltd. Will import coal to cater to the growing needs of customers, mainly from the power industry.

I would think that coal advanced contracts happen at a normal rate, other than the exorbitant rates being fixed upon in international markets which were simply beyond understanding.

\"If I had my way, it would have been tighter...as simple as that,\" said
Yaga Venugopal Reddy about monetary policy, hours after demitting office of
Governor, Reserve Bank of India.

I am happy, the gentlemen did not have his way completely, else, he would have put us in the very high interest rate regime, stock markets would have been in the doldrums. Whatever happens is for good only.

Btw GAME on DOW could become FAST if Bernanke & co. just issue some kind of BULLish statements. DOW is waiting for some kind of TRIGGER to make BIGGER UPMOVE in coming times. For example: whatever we have seen in present and past will over soon. Close to elections in US, those BIG PLAYers would like to keep DOW UP! :)

It is amazing that GAME is PLAYed in similar way! Politicians in US also care about POWER. Feeling of POWER is stronger than that of MONEY! :) Similar kind of corruption in the name of donation or other name. Just wear suit and tie, talk some BS and PLAY the GAME :) :)

Dear jonas,

DOW should start showing positive UPMOVE in coming days. However, the GAME may be SLOW on DOW for rest of month as BIG PLAYers would like to build long term BULLish positions in this range of 11000 to 12000 level. If BEARish positions continue, then DOW will go toward 10500. This seems to be unlikely. Looking at current data, chart and sentiments, Dow going toward 10500 is unlikely. Once DOW crosses 12000 level, then BULLish run would start in DOW! :) :)

Gud luk & happy investing! :)
