Price : BSE: Rs 966.35 ( -3.96 % ), NSE: Rs. 968.05 ( -3.71 % )
When the interest rates(for deposits)go up, money will go into the banks. The share market will not get liquity and suffer for want of funds.The prices will seek lower level to find buyers. That is, the share market will move towards south.
When inflation goes up, there will be lesser savings to spare for the industrial growth. The lesser growth means lesser production-lesser sales and lesser profit or even loss. Here also the share prices will turn towards south.
That is the reason for incrasing the interest rates, when the index for inflation is moving high.
