Dear Mod,

Guest boarders are OK as long as they just read their views , and if they want to post you can create some section where their posts will be deposited ( with the heading for which post they replied )that way only interested boards can go to the section to read if they want to read it.

This way you can encourage guest boarders to register and comment, because anyway their comments are not going to be read by majority of boarders.

Why only Mitali?? -I told U, shes my favourite... :)

One more thing, Mod: Why have U kept the pvt. msgs inbox as a seperate window....??? Kindly change that format... Coz then , we have to log out twice or close either of the windows...

And yeah, please dont forget to invite Ms.Mitali over here, ASAP.... :)

Cheers
pranky!! :)

Hi pradesh,

Thankyou for you kind words and suggestions.. But this system has been existing since the last 2 years.. only registered memebers have the moderation rights.. but at times we have rogue boarders that start deleting messages of very good boarders...we then remove those boarders moderation as well as auto publishing rights..

Dear MOD,

Today,I wanted to delete my own message as it carried a mistake and I reported the same by clicking on 'Report it'..and I found the change introduced by you. Now, the person wanting to delete a message has to give his user id and password. This is good as it is likely to put brake on senseless deletions. Good step ! Please accept my appreciation. Here only, I wish to suggest to add one more option / reason for deleting a message viz. 'Wish to withdraw my own message'. This facility should be provided to registered boarders only. Please consider with suitable modifications.

Hi there Mod,
I chkd the "archive"link as you suggested. But there is nothing there beyond two months.
What about the posts written earlier? Do you have any records? I have never saved or made a copy of anything I write here. Just the scribbling I do in my diary. I thought I would be able to dig up anything I wanted any time. But I think I was wrong. Can you help me please.
I am looking for
1.Are you there god?
2.We the MMB Boarders
3.An Ode to the Sensex.
4.Chadramukhi ho ya paro.
5.Fire and Ice.
6.Illustrous Inspiration
7.Fiels of Ire
8.Mera Bharat Mahaan
These I remember off the cuff. The rest I dont. Even The stuff on soccer and Astrology.
If you help me find these I`ll be thrilled.I dont mind print outs which I will happily collect from your office.
Now I have started keeping a record .I mean I save a copy for myself.
But please do let me know if it is possible to retrieve some of thi sstuff?
Thannx Mod,And sorry for the bother.

Hi radhika_nandlal,

You seem to disagree with us all the time.. why is that? We confered that title on you because we thought you were most deserving.. Doesn't out discretion account for anything?? Besides we are partial to women investors :-) We think they rock!

Yes mmb moderator,

Great boarders are there i dont know how you picked me sometime back... is this becoz its a message board and chatting and interacting is just as important? Whats the criteria for selecting me first?....

You see Sbalu, nadhi, Ashalanshu, subasu, pcspune, RANJAN, skotak and so many others are all so resourceful...they should have been *boarders of the day* long long back...

Micks,

Oh how i would like to visit your ancestral home in chandigarh with three floors, mom's place or dad's place? You have your uncles aunts staying there... who will the house go to finally... ur all so cooperative to retain it inspite of the family having been gone their ways? My ancestral house was sold mainly becoz each one found their way... there was no agreement on how the house has to be maintained... very sad...

What i feel, these days the age of nuclear family, the sisters and brother or if its single child the child and her/his cousins or friends should plan together on investing in a plot of land some place and build apartments so they can live together, it will replace their need for old age homes as they grow older, they will all be there for one another... this is a great idea...it was with this idea that huge ancestral homes were maintained but we shortsighed folks dint know a thing... our family has been especially shortsighted in this regard... we have lost a lot for a song ...

And nothing like living in the same house for ages... its a great feeling... past 60 if one shifts residence one can fall sick quickly... its the sung feeling that you get with familiar environment that contributes to health... so i advise anyone in possession of their ancestral property to retain it and plan on living their apt style but have the same living, dining and kitchen which are the soul of the house... more bedrooms can be constructed for privacy and minikitchens attached to the bedrooms... oh what a gran way it would be to live then.. together and yet have ur space and yet retain ur ancestral property which is the storehouse of memories... ANYBODY selling their ancestral property is a fool.. and anybody not accomodating the other relations in their home and sharing it with them is a sinner.......

MD,
I have an Ac with ICICI Direct.I do everything online. And the one Analyst I trust with my money is my Better half.:P and his special tips are for my ears only. And when they go wrong,he somehow pins the blame on me...everytime...lol
And I didnt avoid any question about my house. Our house in Chd is a sprawling three floor .We married our daughter there so you can imagine the dimensions..
In Mumbai we have a one bedroom apt. But this is "Home" ...and I wouldnt be anywhere else..

that was a backhand compliment from googol i think he meant you are far above the normal intelligensia aboard here...... the other was too obvious a compliment... extremely well put though.. and i totally endorse it.. a needle peircing a banana,, lols lols... a lot of talent here this board really has some good writers.....

The most original compliment paid to me and that I liked most on this Board was in a conversation between KFactor and VFMdirect: (Q)Bhavani's posts are much like a needle piercing a banana: it goes in so smoothly that even the banana does not know it has been pricked (UQ).

The most effective anti-compliment came from Googol Anna: Bhavani, if there are even a score of Boarders who understand the intricacies of this post of yours, I will stop writing here.

I resorted to pidgin-English (that is Chinese english, for you)for quite a few weeks thereafter. Ever since I have made a concerted effort to re-read my posts and edit off any Americanese that still creeps in from time to time.
