i am not comfortable as yet to buy because of the following reasons
1. I dont like the dividend being paid
2. Markets are heading lowere it will like catching a falling knife
3. The company is cahs flow negative in near future (till 2010 i think)
4. The fall is too sharp to see as an opportunity i looked whole day at by=uying and selling - the pain is clearly left
5. Mgmt was not articualte enough and gave flimsy reasons ..etc etc

thanks - i guess you misunderstood - i was asking for your analysis - i think you are comfortable investing. For me one simple test is are they giving enough dividends in proportion to EPS. If they done i guess 90% of the times they accounts are fudged ..10% times they have an expamnison inplace.
I notice a few like Core, Prakash industries that are not paying in proportion so i remain cautious on this one..Tell medo you think that would be fair since I am investor i beleive in return on and return of capital.

hi ti si going to be a reasonably long wait..since people are not willing to buy - not even when companies are performing. ABAN will perform and then it will get a dsicouinting as of now you weill note PE ratios are high value will come when earnings happen posthumous now not prospective...

let me add ..i have been thru all the crashes above and held onto the same stocks for dear life. Let me explain why stocks rise and fall in india (O we are still a special case). Why/ Well for starters we have little depth - whcih few deep pocket investors. This bull run promised to be diff as we thght FII`s were deep enough
they it turend out was they were in deep trouble so much so that they sold right left and centre without any care for valuations
our Regulators have a penchant to wake late - so sure enough short selling was introduced at the fag end of the run.
then again we have operators who can run up a scrip to a price they like and then ofcourse no percentage fall is enough. All this is easy to track but who will do it? no one and till then we will have a den of speculation not investment - lo and behold some valudations if we were invetors we would be buuying ......

Why should we not buy now?The fall is great levels are mouth watering still we must know that ,we have downward growth chart,biggest economy in the world is heading for reccession ,the day they announce it would be a free fall. We must know also that in industry both exporters and importers are going to be affected,former due to falling demand(Global recession) and former due to Rs depreciation,domestic due falling market consumers are hit badly. So the fundamentals and sentiments are bad at this point in time. Hence lest ont advise to enter the market and burn ur finger. Market can have 25% movement on either way on any given short span of time. Hence stay awy look for greater opportunity likely to come within 6-12 months....

Banning short sale will only temporarily halt the slide but the macroeconomics , considering IIP figures and even the micro fundamentals and technicals, markets are like ly to witness heavey to extra heavy selling pressure in coming few weeks. Training8m, Australia " Proudly Australian"...

trulyfair, I am not saying/suggesting anything in the first post. Just sharing the historical info/data. It is highly possible to jack up the price of illiquid stocks. However, in case of Core, I don`t think that is the case. EPS for Mar`05 is Rs.127.69 and stock is listed/trading around 34 to 50 rupees. With the kind of EPS, I don`t think anyone will sell at that price. (why listed at that price is a puzzling question..!) Besides that the company has proved consistently over the last 3 years. Numbers are very good despite all the bonus and splits. I feel one can safely invest in the counter at current levels. PS: risk is yours. Regards, Sri...

Sad!After U entered at a low rate of 75 the stock then fell to a low of 57 within an hour giving around 20% quick loss.Also stock has now lost around 88% from its all time high this year. The Managements assurances on CNBC that the company is doing well and that they had not pledged their holdings is a relief. The Management was of the view that the FCCB conversion last month at Rs 169 is being possibly sold leading to the collapse of the stock.Trulyfair to be fair I must truly say that I too entered the stock at close on NSE at market rate which showed Rs 60.50. Now lets see tomorrow,if selling continues without many buyers maybe it could tank another 50%.However hopefully the promoters could prop up the stock and show us their faith in their own stock....
