If MRPL posts above 300 crs of net profit, then we should come to the conslusion that the motial research team is hopless and they just fool investors with false research and the person who did this resaerch should be fired....

Considering its expansion projects in anvil as well as its robust profits, it is a safe buy with a long term vision.
Presently it is difficult to talk about levels as markets are in different platform altogether and is not related on performance. So ideally a right time to look for quality stocks with a real long term rather han on short or medium term angle.

Dear Bhavana,
If I can recall correctly MRPL issued partially convertible debenture @135 per debenture. The convertible portion is Rs 40 which has been converted to 4 shares and non-convertible portion of Rs95 has been paid back already with 16% interest!! These have occured long days back. I am not sure whether you have received 400 shares and the rest amount of money already.

Is this because they paid devidend last quater ?. India infoline says they paid 100 crs tax and how come profit can only be 89 crs which was 360+ crores last same quater. whne crude prices are at an average above 100+ and rupee depriciating to 47...

Motilal Oswal has come out with its earning estimates on Oil & Gas sector for the quarter ended September 2008. According to the research firm, MRPLs September quarter net sales is expected to go up 59.3% at Rs 121,708 million (Rs 12170.8 crore) on YoY basis.

Not sure is it 86.9 cr or 869 crs ???. If its 86.9 howz that crude was trading at an vaerage of 105 for the quater. secondly rupee to depreciated. which helps refining margins....
