At 10:35 am, Kinetic Motor Company was quoting at Rs 19.70, up Rs 0.85, or 4.51%. The company board has approved investment of up to Rs 29.5 crore in Mahindra Two Wheelers, reports CNBC-TV18. It was trading with volumes of 3,482 shares. Yesterday the share closed up 3.01% or Rs 0.55 at Rs 18.85

Kinetic Motor Company Limited has informed the Exchange vide its letter dated August 30, 2008, that: "In the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held today following decisions have been taken: 1) Approval of investment up to Rs. 29.5 Cr. in Equity Shares of Mahindra Two Wheelers Private Limited, subject to obtaining members approval and other required and applicable approvals. 2) To extend period of Brand License Agreement with Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) for the use of "KINETIC" brand for a further period of 25 years w.e.f. 01.04.2009 and sub-licensing the brand for two wheelers to Mahindra Two Wheelers Private Limited for a period of 25 years. For renewal of the said Brand License Agreement, KMCL has agreed for consideration of Rs. 7.75 Cr. to be paid to KEL as under: a) Rs. 5 Cr. by way of issue of 5,00,000 (Five lakhs) Redeemable Cumulative Preference shares of Rs.100/- each, fully paid up, in the Share Capital of the Company. b) Rs. 2.75 Cr. to be paid on or before 31.03.2010. 3) Increase in Authorised Share Capital to accommodate issue of 500,000 Redeemable Cumulative Preference Shares of Rs.100/- each to KEL and consequential changes in Capital Clause of Memorandum & Articles of Association of the Company to reflect increase in Authorised Share Capital. 4) Convening Extraordinary General Meeting of members seeking their approval for the above matters....

Two-wheeler maker Kinetic Motor Co Ltd said on Monday its board approved an investment of 295 million rupees in Mahindra Two Wheelers Pvt Ltd, its joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra.
The company will also sub-license the \"Kinetic\" brand to Mahindra Two Wheelers for 25 years, it added.
In July, M&M said it would hold 80 percent in the JV, with Kinetic Motor owning the rest.

Kinetic Motor Company Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on September 01, 2008, inter alia, has taken the following decisions:
