Jagdish Gaba,
Well said, and it is very true but investors normally do not follow this this saying in true meaning, instead make mistakes.

So, you think that 16968 is my DOB? Is it? Sorry, it is not. I am much older. This number was given to me when I got registered in this MB by the Board as nickname along with my name. At that time -in the early stages of this board - probably that was the way or may be I might not have slected a nickname muself. Many mistook it for the DOB.

Winwath,

Ur parents lived in Hyderabad although ur tamilians.. wonder why... why u chose AP over TN.. is it the weather?? How come u dint choose bangalore? Its the best weather in the whole of India and so cosmopolitan too though not as much as delhi or mumbai... actually mumbites think bangalore is sleepy and sucks..

However what u just did is what i am urging all NRIs do.. for the infirm and the old in their family they should buy a big plot of land or the NRI relations should cooperate and buy a big plot of land and have 3 to 4 flats vacant where sick old aged and infirm in their network can stay in proximity to near and dear ones when they are incapacitated.. this way there would be no need for old age homes in india and the responsibiltiy can be borne by all the family members in the care of the old

Supposing there are 4 brother/sisters liveing in the US and are dolla rich.. they should buy a plot of land and build apts say 20 assuming each family has two children, until the children are grown and can live in their own homes those homes could be used for an old infirm aunt uncle cousin handicapped relative whatever so they have security and love in their old age if they cannot afford it... all this should be planned by the govt of india but they are doing nothing... the govt of india should give concessions in property taxes when hopes are built for such philanthropic reasons.... so many things can be done and india can be powerful by virtue of its prakriti shakti and by virtue of its family bonding, by virtue of its obsession for gods, by virtue of its pouplation itself.... i will tell u some intereting things about how prakriti takes care of idnia in relation to the pak war later...so although the author of WHITE TIGER adiagas the booker prize winner might laugh at our religous mindset and think its the main reason for our backwardness robert svoboda says that prakriti can make or break a nation.. look what happened to America... i will quote robert word for word.. awesome lateral thinking....

The only things you left out were:
My address, Pan Card Number and the co-ordinates for my home ;)

I live in Hyderabad, built up area of home is 3000 Sq ft. 2 car park. We have hired our own security - not the uniformed guys with danda in hand.

We have three guards at night and two during the day - supported by guard dogs at night. The leader of the guards is lisc to carry fire arm.

We have our own water treatment plant (reverse osmosis), two generators 64kv - will power all fans, all lights plus one a/c in each house during power failure.

After living in the USA in such a community for two decades, I thought this is the least I can do for my family.

We cut down on a number of people knocking on our door:
The electricity meter is all located in one place, the official is taken there by the security guard on duty- he collects all the bills, no door to door sales people - no people asking for donation.

Even, visitiors will be allowed only after the guard speaks to someone at home on the intercom.

Hey Radigs, what date shall I put your name up for entry? ;)

11/20 are folks like me - relocating from the US or UK

I paid 50L several years ago - it must be now worth about 4 times that - I really dont know how much it lost during this real estate melt down - but then, I dont really care, coz its a place I plan to spend the rest of my life, unless

I find a nicer home on the beach in south Goa

and the value itself must be over 1.2 cr.

One cannot go wrong in buying a house. We have plenty of raw materials in India, we can import the ones that are in short fall.

But can be manufacture, produce or import land - NO.

The supply side of land will always remain the same, it is the demand that will fluctuate.

Even today, pick up a plot here and a farm land there - I treat land too just like stock.

I was an avid gambler when in the USA - visit Atlantic City every week and Las vegas several times a year. So I luv to play with house`s money.

When I buy land - I buy 4 plots or 5 plots - when it doubles in value - I sell 1/2 and hang on to the rest - when my stock doubles, I sell 1/2 and when it goes 3 times, I sell 1/2

As of March, 2008, I do not own any stock. All my stop losses were hit and I became in cash on 6Apr2008. Since then, I trade only options....

You will be surprised to know that my hubby booked one such gated community for Rs 30L way some 6 years back and i promptly thought i should sell it and sold it for 30L coz i loved to have cash and dint understand paper worth, and today the rent this home fetches for the one who bought from me is 1.5L per month... so i think if my husband has to give me anything it should be the cane. pillai,

Very rarely a family is so harmonious and wrapped up in itself... and so happy families can be counted on fingertips... at best that one can say abotu a normal family is they are functional and though they may not like comembers all the time for their ways they have learned to put up with the aberrations.. if we could extend the same degree of tolerance to everyone outside, be it office or business or a public place then the whole world would be a happy place... but its a selfish motive that drives the bonding between its members... the survival of a family depends on this bond which is an acquired bond and not natural.

Since there are very few happy families, i would be forced to conclude that prakriti works in creating disharmony in families but why? Here is a quote from AGHORA III THE LAW OF KARMA by ROBERT SVOBODA

Quote
The truly harmonious family is very rare today. But if there is a family which is completely harmonious that family would goon being harmonious endlessly which cannot be permitted to occur. So, the intellect of only one of the family members is perverted and the whole family falls apart. It sounds cruel I know, and i know that it is hard to understand why it could be necessary. But only then can a new pattern form."

So prakriti is afraid of harmony then????...

wiwath,

But all his followers have one common personality trait i.e to insult women boarders to condemn them to the kitchen and to insult their predictions so my conclusion

SKOTAK MIGHT BE HIS FOLLOWERS

All my trackers dont behave like this.. how come me marketman, dustocks all have healthy trackers.

MALAYALI`s trackers too have his personality trait rubbed off on them but they are not MALAYALI.. look at MALAYALI`s tracking list :), he has no clue who his fans are nor does he think its importatn ROFL...

LOL.
