Do not languish in steel stocks like Facor, switch over to software or other good sectors.Cat technologie ,teledata info etc are good for switch over.Cat has achieved sales of rs 108 cr and net profit of rs 13.1 cr for year ending mar 2008 giving eps of 4.This will be placed before AGM in december.Possibility of bonus also is there.Stock is available at cheap price of rs 2.9.Study the stock and switch if satisfied.

Market does not remain same every day.Even a lay man can kwon this principle.It appears you take long time to understand market trend.Steel market had started moving down sharply after the slow down in us.After the change in steel market condition I have not recomended purchasing of steel shares.Therefore I have started telling investors to exit steel stocks enter stocks with good performance.

I had suggested long back to exit steel stocks like Facor and enter good software stock in amall cap.One suck stock is Cat technologie which has given sales of rs 37 cr and net profit of rs 2.78 cr(eps 3.5 annualised)for june quarter.This stock(rs 10 face value)is available very cheap at rs 3.08.Study the stock and enter.

Excuse me for the not so good news..!

1) Facor stopped 1 furnace out of 5. Per day production came down to 130 tons from 200 tons.

2) No buyers at the price of Rs.42,000/ton (1 to 1.5 month back the price is about 1 lac/ton). As of today Facor has 13,000 ton ferro chrome reserves, for which there is buyer.

3) per/ton manufacturing cost for Facor is Rs.52,000/-

PS:
(a)point 1 & 2 applies to all ferro chrome players (read as ferro alloy segment.. be it ferro chrome or manganese). FAL is just an example.

(b)point 3, manufacturing cost differes from company to company.

for short term the dawnward risk is not much one can take chance, buy at every dips sell at 8/10 % profit. Do short term trading.

Think of long term after market enters bull run.
