The 45-nation Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) has approved a US plan to engage in nuclear trade with India. Following the green signal by the NSG that will cement the Indo-US Civil Nuclear Deal, India has finally come out of the 34-year old nuclear apartheid.
The approval came after almost three days of meeting in Vienna on Saturday.

Dear Peri,

It seems that an interesting debate is going on between you and Atheist. Like the decent way the points are debated. Carry on friends. While the market is affected by selective amnesia and the market views expressed in MMB are either biased or wishful thinking, this debate adds colour to the board.

Nadhi

Dear Atheist:

And the same answer to your same question...

when God created human beings as His children (as parents to)in His Image - that is Love - He did not bargain for them to forget Him - that is Love - and kill their own brothers and sisters....

We, the human beings have thwarted God\\`s plan - So as I said earlier, we are responsible for whatever state the world is in today and now we, human beings will have to find our way back to Him who can help us regain that Love and put things in their original order as was proposed by Him...

Believe me, i am thinking on my own...i threw away the spoon long time back....

I am happy you are here, having realized this far...but dont stop here...please carry on...may be we will meet eye to eye in some remote point....

Awaiting to meet you in that point...

All the very best to you.

(your tenacity amazes me. lol..but of course, you are young...naturally this is what is expected of you...)
(i dont remember having avoided answering any of your question...if you find so, please do let me know, i will try to do justice to the best of my ability.)

Well, the deal is through. BJP was wrong to oppose something that they themselves were very keen to get on their own. I can understand the lefts opposition, but BJPs oppsition to the deal was completely baffling.
I think their statategic planners blundered in their response....

Pranab Mukherjee look tensed. His face is shrunk and anxiety is very well clear. UPA rushed up unnecessariy and getting snubbed by foreigners . Inefficient Government landed itself in deep trouble.. Do India deserve this? UPA along with Amar singh not only held to the Government by fraudulent way but also not able to get the deal through , which according to them was for best interest of the country. If the deal falls out, I am sure India will never ever vote to Congress Party and that is the end of it

Now since i have your piece of mind so i fully agree with you on this subject n too believe that whatever good we get either from phillosphical or logical theories,we gain something is better...

Jagdish,

No clue about god.. but philosophical *conjecturing* is quite interesting, makes you intelligent, enables you to think laterally and does improve your reasoning skills... (this i learnt from reading Robert Svoboda, a brilliant writer whose books are nothing but philosophical conjectures.... and i would be very keen to devour all his books.... including his treatise on ayurveda.... say what you want, i am not ashamed to learn ayurved from a foreigner coz his presentation skills and logic both are brilliant). Therefore, in this regard i should say anything associated with god is beneficial.. if philosophical conjecturing itself can improve our skills then plain devotion should be akin to holdig a remote in our hand??

Dear Periwinkle,
There can be no consensus when it comes to deciding on what a certain set of parents will do if one of their son kills his brother. My understanding is that if the parents are good at heart and rational, they will certainly not come in the way of punishment that the law of the land merits for him. Reason being that he might be capable of taking one or more human lives, and if the parents were to protect him and if he does end up taking one or more human lives, then the parents will be equally guilty for having WRONGLY protected him when he committed the first murder.
And sir, only one ,same old question to question your next point.
God being omniscient, am sure would have seen what a Mugabe would do on this earth. Why create such a monster at all, if he knows in advance that he(Mugabe) is going to mercilessly slay his(god s) own children?
Please answer this above question sir. Please dont avoid it.
And Sir, the point that you next make of daring to think with our hearts, Thats exactly what i think!! Break open your mind and heart, discard all that you have been spoon fed about religion and God, AND THINK ON YOUR OWN! I did exactly that and here i am, with what i realized!

It is the only clean energy alternative in the medium term (50 years)
The much hyped sloar/wind alternatives are at best supplements to the major source of energy, which at the moment is fossil based & hugely polluting. The earths atmosphere cannot sustain this level of pollution for long without catastrophic consequences, which will be felt in the next few decades.
Nuclear energy is a stop gap till we find a clean & sustainable alternative.
Hopes have been pinned on several sources, the most promising being 'nuclear fusion' (the opposite of nuclear fission on which todays nuclaer energy is based). Nuclear fusion is the the way the sun & stars produce their energy.
Experimental reactors (small) have & are being tested in the western world. In 1997 for the fist time scientists were able to get more energy out of a fusion reactor than was required to run it.
This is a very small step to the global energy freedom.
It will be decades before a commercial workable reactor can be erected. Several decades more before it becomes the norm .
India cannot participate in this research because of the embargo on India for 'dual use' technology.
So although the nuclear deal will solve India energy problem, but it will be through participation in new technologies being, which is only possible if we are cleared by NSG to get access to newest technologies in the energy feild.
The govt cannot explain such a complicated matter to the population at large, hence the ruse of populists slogans.
The N deal is cruicial fir India in more ways than one.

India Infoline a fraud company??

Posted by : radhika_nandlal

Folks,

I have been planning to open an account with one of the broking houses and when i do a google for frauds i see such messages.. one message on india infoline in mouthshut reads

Quote
My experience with India Infoline has been pretty bad... I opened a broking-cum-trading account with them in Dec 07. I transferend about 5 lakhs worth of shares from my existing DP account. As sson as the shares were transfered the relationship manager started trading in FnO segment without my knowledge and took up huge positions in certain stocks without my concent. To restrict the information from me, he didnt even send me the physical contract notes. In the crash of 21-22 January 2008, my account ran into severe margin under-run and at that time the relationship manager call me up to inform me that there has been a loss of 4 laks in my account and I need to pay it up.

When I went to the branch manager to complain about the transactions h told me "Nothing will happen with complaint", "You have to bear the losses" , and instead of taking action against his relationship manager, he bluntly told me to bear all the losses.

On hearing this I rushed to the company Head office in Goregaon, where I met a senior customer service officer who assured me that she would take the necessary action. But to my surprise, I found that they sold off all my shares to cover the losses a few days later. When I went to the Goregaon again, I was informed that a couple of e-,ails had been exchanged between her and the Branch manager and they went ahead with my shares sale. They didnt even bother to send me a reply for my complaint and just sold my shares. The customer service officer told me to mail at the greviance mail id on the homepage of india infoline, but to my surprise a mail sent to the above mail id returned the error message that the id does not exist.

dear cnu112,

But unfortunately your first msg says that it is going to help the country in over coming the power crisis.

Now regarding the next msg of yours which says \\`it may not completely remove the power crisis , but atleast we will get the 5%, which may be very helpfull for us...hope u will agree witm me that something is better then nothing....\\`

Unquote-

1)Do you have any idea about the NET cost involved in it..?Do you know about the other available alternatives?

2)The net cost is going to be 6 times costlier than coal based or hydel power in terms of installation and dismantling of a power plant is concerned.

3)Do you know that there is untapped potential of 40000(40K) MW of power in hydel sector which if tapped properly will be more than double of what that nuclear power is going to generate in the next 15 years and that too at a cost that is only one fifth or one sixth of the cost of nulclear plant.

4)Are you aware that there are enough coal reserves in the country which are sufficient for next 180 years or so( approximately) even if the present coal based power production of 70000(70k) MW of power is trebled and which costs a pittance compared to nuclear power.

5)Are you aware that solar power plants which costs slightly higher than the net cost of nuclear power plant( in terms of installation and dismantling) is cleaner and safer and environment friendly and one doesnt need to depend on US...?

6)Are you aware that entire world is moving away from nuclear power dues to its exhorbitant price and environment unfriendlyness and the risk involved in case of a disaster and not to say less about the impact on public health due to the radiation problems?

7)Are aware that US is shelling out a whopping 90 billion US $ in Nevada for its proposed dump yard for nuclear waste?

Do you think India can ever afford such massive expenses on an unwanted thing?

regards
