There are many many NGOS who are playing a great role in lending that hand without spiritual politics the missionaries resort to and without enticing them with goodies. They make them learn how to fish and respect the individuality of every soul. They dont make xerox copies of hapless helpless soul with any religious stamp.
Remember the missionary who converts and the religion which convets is a FUNDAMENTALIST GROUP and not the one who revolts.

Sadhus and mahatmas and Godmen have literally taken India backwards with their various dogmas, rituals, myths and what not. All these 60 years they were busy meditating. But in the meantime some community ppl developed immense capacities like hospitals, educations of calibre, and social service institutions. Any individual touched by any of these selfless services would have had the full right to get converted, the right to which is guaranteed in the Indian Constitution. Do not try to pass these serious conversions off as forced or induced conversions. Scores of tribal villages untouched by these Godmen (who like to have their headquarters around rich villages and towns) have been given decent amount of education and have got employment and are now in position to be selfsufficient. Is is wrong to improve the quality of one`s life? And if in that process he finds the other religion better in having him peace of mind and body why not get converted? This is not forced conversion. The Bajrangees could have resorted to counter inducements to bring back these so called mass converts back into their fold. It would be even better if Muslim, Christan, and Hindu missinoraies going on a charity and inducement spree to get the maximum converts into their fold. In that way at least India could have improved dramatically!!
Applying the conditions and parameter operational 400 years ago to today`s 21st century context would be sheer madness. Don`t think even tribals and nomads in India are fools to get converted unless they are touched by the religion in more way than one!!
Don`t fan fundamental elements and give justification to acts of a nun being raped and made to roam in naked. Todays newsreports state of tribals made to force to eat cowdung and forcibly converted to Hinduism. For what purpose?? Do you think this force will prevail for long. Remember water finds its own level. More sooner than later things will stabilize and these reconverts will shun the religion coz of the sheer brutal forces that were used to force convert them!!
This is not a question of religion but of ethics and morality. Acting like animals and feudals in the name of religion does not bring any good name but more hate for these fundamentalists groups!!

definitely those who are forcibly reconverted is a useless thing. I have refrained from dealing with orissa for this thread pertains to karnataka which is not orissa. Newspapers are in the business of selling news and they reproduce frequently only the attack on churches in karnataka but not the admission by the mangalore priest that the denigration of hindu gods was done by a christian sect which is also causing interfaith problems for them too. Does ethics and morality have no place in this aspect. ...

So since our Sadhus were deep in meditation you converted? I better inform my kids not to go deep in meditation lest the neighbor says I AM UR PAPA to his kid??
So the govt had no role to play, the sadhus should have looked after the welfare of those who were downtrodden? Why the govt dint think it neecesary to play a role.
Touched by faith is fine. Even a child will be touched by the kindness of a woman around home but she will never be able to replace her mama.... and no one will try doing such things no matter how much they love the child. The nanny at best compensates the absence of Mama but never claims the role of her mama.
okay ya chalo... what more do u want to obliterate from the Indian Culture? Our religious scriptures are mocked at, our people are converted with goodies, our sadhus and saints are mocked at, our land is taken by all missionaries for schools and colleges and 90% of seats reserved for the christian faith.....anything else u want.. Would u be happy if all of us converted? Let us know.. we will all jump in the pacific ocean so u dont have to see us anymore....

Hey gv......U are absolutely right....... Something good happens these tv channels will say it had happened only due to their hard work.....But if something bad happens they blame the central or state govt....citing law and order problems.......Ha.....Ha.....Ha....Ha....
Let us introspect with a petty law and order problem issue.....For example in chennai there is a rule that if u spit on public place u will be fined Rs.200 or so......But I have not come across even a single person fined for spiting as the spiting habit does not seem to have changed even after this imposing fine...... In this instead of blaming the police.....why not the public stop spiting on the public place...U can`t post a cop for each and every person is reality..ROFL ...

The rosary business is just another one of their rituals which rotg may be able to throw light on, probably copied from some pagan world just as the trinity was introduced to increase followers in the early days. Reminds me of the hindu custom of rudraksha and what sages used it for was probably to keep count and also for its gemmology properties. rotg knows fully well what all pagan culture has crept or was retained in christianity for the sake of followers numbers game....

I have absolutely no clue how these converts convert and spill the beans to their relations coz no one in my relation has converted and no one who has converted till now (i mean the drivers etc) have blamed brahmin atrocities in the 21st century and when the driver said he is a christian and has to go to church my baby just had no reacton and gave him the key..... so if some of our relations convert and splilt the beans the residual hindus will be as disinterested in it as GEORGE BUSH. ROFL...... God alone knows what these conversions are, who the brahmins are who drove these folks to conversion and how they convert, where they convert... do they have to wear a robe or something like graduation ceremony? Is there some symbolic representtation for conversion? Way back in 1990s when i could take no more of motherhood responsiblities my hubby appointed a maid who did a great job, but she said she has to hold the rosary in her hand when she is not working. I used to feel gulity giving her my baby when she was doing the rosary and my hubby dint know what to do... does holding the rosary mean one has become christian i dont know coz it dint occur to me to ask her.. but she would religously do the rosary, do a clean job of the chores too and she was a sweetheart... she said though that her husband had abandoned her and her child and she had no money and hence had to convert to make both ends meet.... so we allowed her to take off on Sundays to look up her child etc and allowed her to do the rosary when she was done with the chores.... but she was always sad that her husband had jilted her.... that sadness even Jesus couldnt remove....

After 60 years of conversion our godmen are talking what the missionaries did to the Indian cultural heritage.
What a shame. These godmen should have talked before this... you have mushroomed everywhere by now with your subtracting philosophy. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN... you took India for a ride simple! Saying schools, college and hospitals u took India for a big ride.

I dont know. Maybe belated baptism as they do for their children. Remember every religion has its rituals some more some less . The christian trinity is not acceptable to muslims, who consider jesus as a prophet of Islam and not the SON OF GOD. It also gives details of the hanky panky that may have been carried out by their seat of power and how.
But since muslims are prohibited from having images of their prophet too no idol of jesus in churches would be spared when they take over.
Even rotg is agreed that this is equivalent to idol worship and these hypocrites have the cheek to say only we are idol worshippers.
And mind u let that particular guest not forget that this idol is an idol too whether made of clay or plaster of paris or bronze or gold just as ur blue blooded german idol.lol ...

In Hinduism if we asked the priest to convert he wont know what to do.. so what exactly is the conversion ritual like... would u know? See the other day i went to one wedding where the girl was a buddhist and the boy a hindu... the priest asked the boy`s people what gotram she is.. they said Just SAY IN THE NAME OF GOD and get us married and be done with your ceremony retorted the boy..HAAAAAAAAAAAA

Honestly the flag in assam is an indication of things to happen in tribal areas... We are doomed by this missionary work.

I feel conversions should stop in all countries.. Each country should see that its religious population is well settled well fed, well clothed and maintain a religious harmony. If the govt gets lazy these things happen... maybe North africa poor country and arabian wealth... but its not right... whatever it may be... i feel god had a plan that whosever born in a religion should abide by it... faith conversions i have always considered sinful.. even if a Hindu did it but fortunately we dont have this kind of zeal nor we have any interest in invasion etc etc... thank god... hope god just takes care of us as we are in India protecting the Hindu`s innocence.

Remember the plea of the christian priests in kerala begging christians to produce more. That is the answer and that is the reason for my perception of what will be the picture in another 150 years.
What is the tendency of every family with a little prosperity? Cut down on the number of children. So in india u find more of middle class hindus and among christians also going in for one or two children and in hindus now only one, whereas in muslims it is 4 for middle class and unlimited for others. So what will be the ratio after 50 years when these middle class peoples children become 50 and their children start producing say at 25. u get no addition in hindus, a little in christians and lo innumerable by the muslim the ratio would be an average of 1:20 or at best 2:20 at the end of 50years or so. simple my dear watson.

Where is ur history knowledge? North africa was closest to arabia and they always had links even before biblical times hence one of the early converters under the sword. From there it spread. The only major christian nation is s.africa. By the way i remember that in nigeria christian popln is substantial and tussle was on but some couple of years ago the christians were beaten black and blue, churches burnt, killings by the hundreds et al and now the christian gas has run out. just a matter of time they convert in nigeria wholesale. s.africa may last maybe 50 odd years as a christian nation. Where will they run from the onslaught of muslims . the noose it tightening day by day. SO HOW TO MAKE UP THE DWINDLING NUMBERS U TELL ME.
