Dear Aru,
You have made quite a good list of donts and do for trading.
But for each of the above rules, there are always exceptions, that you have not foreseen. This is probably reflected in your point 13, but I chose to put it differently:
***The market always has a way to beat you. ***
:)

A few points that I had forgotten:
Edit / change one's own track list.
Ignore boarder - any reply from that boarder to oneself should be blockable.
Final ambitious request:
Take MMB to a new level - as a social networking site for a niche group. So one can think of storing and sharing photos and resources in other formats also.
Regards

Dear Mod,
Thanks for starting this opinion poll thread:
Q
Tell us which MMB you loved the most and which feature and why.. also what you hate or like about the current MMB...
UQ
Well it would be difficult to say which version was the best. Each version has some good features.
I am using googol\\`s post on this as a template.
Irrespective of which version had the feature, I vote for the following features:
I echo googol\\`s views on the thread feature as was present in MMB v1.0
Q
Pl introduce the system of seeing a message and all replies to it under it.otherwise any reply should be mentioning \\`in reply to so and so\\`s message dated ***\\`.
UQ
We should be able to navigate through following the in-reply-to as well as replies-to links.
A system of giving an unique ID for each post as suggested by googol would be excellent. It would be useful to search based on this number.
Address book doesn\\`t seem to work. How to get it to work?
Managing the private inbox, the following would be appreciated:
* Create folders and move messages
* Sent folder
* Deleting specific messages ( that we dont want)
* Inbox should display no. of unread messages (as in MMB v2.0)
Managing the home page:
* Allow HTML in the About_us section.
* Give only a link to the About_us section from the home page, which can be expanded or seen only if the visitor wants to see it (Some home pages have a very long About_us section).
Moderation and Guest IDs:
I have nothing against guest IDs as far as what they want to post. My suggestions regarding Guest posts:
* No guest should be allowed to start a new thread.
* Guests may only be allowed to reply to posts.
* Max 5 Guest posts (per day) may be allowed from a given IP address to avoid spamming.
* All posts (including newbies) should be allowed to appear at once without waiting for the mod\\`s approval.
* Moderation of guest / others posts may be done by the recipient as well as the moderator. The recipient can determine if the post was abusive or not.
Other suggestions on content and format of posts:
* Allow some HTML tags in the post too, such as: [B], [I], [PRE] and [TABLE] related tags. Tables are essential for presenting tabular data, which look horrible otherwise.
* Have a PREVIEW feature, whereby the boarder can seen how the post looks before posting.
* Please allow links atleast to other posts on MMB. This can be easily implemented if each message had a message_id.
General look and feel:
* The Boarder home pages and the message threads look fine.
* But the MMB home page is a bit cluttered in appearance. MMB v1.0 and v2.0 had a less cluttered appearance.
* The new sections on the MMB home page are welcome, but some layout changes can be done to reduce the clutter.
Other suggestions (beyond the scope of the current poll):
* Introduce a mail server and give mail IDs to each boarder boardernick@mmb.whatever
* Introduce blog-space for boarders ( you can keep all the boarders loyal to MMB, without them having to go to other sites, viz., blogger, LJ, wordpress etc for this.
Thanks
* My thanks to this interactive MMB team for having initiated this poll and actually responding to the suggestions/complaints. Earlier I used to think that there was a bot as mod.
