dear soldier,

It is important to understand the business cycles for considering right investment.

Keep watching these counters and other better counters in the next 5 to 7 years.

But by the time it will be too late....

fully agree with you pkk.. DLF is headed to sub 220 levels.. infacts 280- level is too high for this stock.. given gems like JP As sociates have gone below 80... in comparion SLF shud soon be at 230 levels......

Well Guest,

I will try to give u the best advice I can. You have lost 40% of your portfolio. That is not bad given the current market situation. What is worrying is that you are in a bad stock. Sell this stock today and invest in better companies. If you pick up a good company, you will be able to cover your losses in 3-5 years time and make a decent return on it too. But if you stay with DLF, I do not think you will be able to get your money back too soon. Reason being this stock will go much lower than it is now.

Dlf Limited has informed the Exchange with reference to report in the newspaper on October 10, 2008 which imputes that Standard Chartered Bank had sanctioned a loan to DLF but refused to disburse the same. The Company has informed that: "The facts are far from truth as there has been no impending transaction by DLF with Standard Chartered Bank or any other bank, and as a result, the question of refusing disbursement does not arise. The story is totally motivated and mischievous issued at behest of some vested interests. No comments were sought from DLF keeping in line with journalistic traditions"....

I have get rid of my all my BUY puts at around 4380 levels, and get rid of my one sold put at end of the day at 730 rs, and taken one 3400 PUT just for covering my sold put.

so all in all my sold calls booked profits 20 K, + PUTs booked profit 28 K, sold PUT booked Loss of - 16 K, and I do hold one 4300 sold PUT ( my average is 405 Rs )

Net profit for this month so far is 32 K.

what about you?
