Hi All,
I have been trying to learn the basics of MF since last couple of days and this forum really helped me a lot. Kudos to all you guys who have been patiently answering all the questions, you guys are really doing a great job.
I need some advice regarding my investment plan. I have around 14 lacs lying idle in my savings account. Now I plan to put around 4 lacs in a 1 year FD (something to fall back on in case of emergency); 5 lacs in MFs within next couple of days for long term (10-15 years) and 5 lacs in a 3 months FD (which I will invest again in MF after 3 months, as I feel the market might go down further during that period).
I know SIP is the way to go, but that might not be a good choice for me as I have that lump-sum amount doing nothing in my bank account.
