Hello everyone,
I am a beginner in investments. Please help me understand two of my investments listed below:
[1] I invested in an ICICI Prudential Life Stage Pension Plan(G) in January 2008. My annual premium towards it is Rs.20,000. I was interested in short term gains. My agent told me that I will get good returns after 3 years. However, after carefully evaluating it, I, now, find that it is not suitable for short term gains. Please help me understand what to do with it as I am very unhappy with this investment. What are the pros and cons of this plan from the point of view of short term and long term investment.

[2] I have invested in a Birla SunLife Insurance recently. My agent told me that I will be getting good returns after 3 years. However, I doubt it now. I have made a payment of Rs.6000 towards this plan and intend to pay the remaining amount later this year. Please help me understand this policy from the point of view of short term and long term investment.

Please help me with these two investments. Should I carry on with them or should I withdraw?
