India's wireless subscriber base has witnessed a blistering growth of 54 per cent over the past one year by adding over 100 million new users into the mobile club.
As per data available with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), India's mobile users touched 296.08 million in July-end this year against 192.98 million last year in the same month, a year-on-year growth of 53.44 per cent.
In July this year, the telecom industry witnessed the highest-ever addition of 9.22 million wireless subscribers taking the total teledensity of the country to 29.08 per cent.
India has been adding more than eight million subscribers consistently for more than six months now, and this trend may continue as 700 million more remain to be tapped.
Being a low-tariff mobile market, cheap calls have broken the class barrier to accommodate all kinds of subscribers. Call rates today are as low as few paise per minute.
Analysts said growth of India's mobile market remains robust as competition among mobile operators continues to intensify. With the mobile penetration level having just exceeded 25 per cent, considerable growth potential still remains, particularly in the massive rural markets.
All the mobile operators have started expanding into the rural markets. Their network-infrastructure-sharing initiatives will help speed up network roll-out in the rural and remote areas. The anticipated 3G roll licensing will give another boost to the competition level and help stimulate industry growth.
However, wireline or fixed line connections fell by 0.16 million in July 2008, as per the data released by the telecom regulator.

Reliance Communications is top gainer on the Sensex. At 11:15 am, the share was quoting at Rs 411.85, up Rs 12.05, or 3.01%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 414.80 and an intraday low of Rs 403.60. It was trading with volumes of 926,068 shares. Yesterday the share closed down 3.06% or Rs 12.60 at Rs 399.80.

Rcom now 388 still not showing signs of up move.My Sell call was at the rate 511!!!!!!!!!!!!Suport to watch can be 374-361 for entry afresh. However, once it take support, you can expect 411-431 levels very fast. Avoid bottom fishing.above 411, it can have target of 440-492 within one month.Averaging shall be avoided but once start taking support at above levels, you shall hold and trade on levels given above .

I hope you would have learned from the experience in RCOM after your comments. RCOM after we asked to sell has continuously beeen under 410 and has fallen under 400 towards 393-395 levels. We were finding it weak. targets were hit for all the investors. It seems you were hurt by RCOM from your own personal experience thats why u are so upset with RCOM stock.

One more thing,
You put a buy call on Rcom at Rs 414 giving a target of Rs 465. I knew much before then that a low of Rs350 was possible and I entered into RCom at Rs 405 and now will enter it shortly at Rs 390 thus averaging my holdings to 397 or so.
So firstly, your analysis was wrong because there was more negative news than positive at that time. Now things are looking to settle down.So it may be a good time to enter into RCom in the next few weeks. With the dollar strengthening, oil falling and economies battling successfully against the credit crunch, the worst may just be over in the next 4 months. And by then we need to buy the stocks we believe in.
If you ask me whether RCom will run like a bull, my answer is no. But for LT, its a good bet because the Telecom sector will grow leaps and bounds in the next 5 years irrespective of a bear or bull market. This sector is insulated from the world economy to an extent.
Are you happy about my OUTPUT now...ha ha...dont worry...no bad feelings in this forum, just give good advice dude. All of us are here to make money, plain and simple
