Dear All,

I am posting this message on behalf of one of my relatives. His age is 40 years and currently earning just enough to meet his family expanses.

But he has got the following savings:
150K FD maturing in July-2010.
Few more FDs totalling 200K maturing in Jan-2010.
Cash 80K in savings account.
No exposure in equities.

He told me to ask you experts, what to do? Specially, 80K sleeping in savings account.

He is interested in Equity Linked FMP offered by Birla (since no loss of principal amount). He also like to know, which one is better - Bank FD or FMP of Debt schemes. And if FMP or Debt, then which ones?

Dear Ashal, Kent, Sharmaji, Wadia - help him out.
