Was in malta last weekend and happened to see voila, a load of Tata Indica, Tata Safari and the Tata Pickup (cannot remember the name). Made me feel so proud to be an Indian..
I had been one of the most ardent supporters of the Car Project, especially as the markets did not believe in them and drove the share price to Rs 35.

I found very few supporters then in the fund management Industry. But then I do not blame them as our politicians like Mamta are the ones who mess up projects with their attitudes.

I am glad that Ratan Tata took the tough decision of abandoning the Singur Site and get on with life.

Looking forward to seeing the Nano on the UK streets, will be surely one of the first in line to buy it!!.

No Thank You Mamta for lowering Indias(especially West bengals) Investment Image in the world!!!.

Hope such Politicians are fewer as time goes on. Thats when India will be a major Superpower until then we can never be as people like Mamta will pull back anybody who tries to go ahead....

Look! Now we have hindu terrorists too, in the name of religion, in India.
Hindus turning to terrorism while killing and raping christened tribals to reconvert them to hinduism is purely fanatical and is atrributable to government inaction or (delibrate) inability to control muslim and other terrorists(who take pride in calling themselves jehadis wiping out kafirs).
Whoever incite these fools fearing extinction of their religion (logic given by even educated people)to resort to wiping out people following other religions are themselves not religious.
The present times are somewhat similar to times of Jagatguru Shri Adi Shankaracharya.
Shankara took avataran to alleviate confusions created by multiple religios thoughts and lack of clear direction towards the path of GOD.
HE held numerous phillosophical discussions with various prominent religious gurus beat them with HIS arguments and convinced them with HIS phillosophy thus removing ignorance and gave a clear understanding of the path to GOD.
It seems that only a new avtaran of Shankara can save the earth from religiously misguided terrorists...

You are destroying our very roots and our culture.

Second when u folks take out a demonstration u do funny things like dress a child with a muslim cap, sacred ash on his forehead and a the cross of your faith.

But when u convert u guys tell the folks, whats that tilak on the forhead, its blasphemy remove it. Whast the bangle on ur hand, throw it. Remove ur chain and wear a cross.

Double standards when you want to convert and when u want to demonstrate. The best that can be done for you guys without harming you all is to ignore you guys TOTALLY.

We are not talking of first moving advantage are we... LOL... Anybody can convert anybody as long as they take care not to hurt the religious sentiments of others... But what happened in Karnataka was booklets being distributed denigrating Hindu gods... It is impossible to believe that Bajrang Dal could get hold of these booklets but the Church had no inkling... Even when they violence broke out all the Church did was condemn the books published and in the same breath talk of banning Bajrang Dal... Clearly giving proof that they too were slyly involved in this atrocious activity and hence the ire directed against them... Picture 2 situations... You are in a vehicle and a kid darts past... You break... Now there are 2 things that can happen...

1. You just miss hitting the kid...
2. You hit the kid...

Now in both cases u did ur job... But results will differ... In case 1 the kid gets admonished... While in case 2 you will be lucky to escape with ur bones intact... ROFL... Now coming back to the conversions... This has been going on for long and in a illegal manner... Yet nobody protested... But when the Church got more aggresive and started distributing booklets all hell broke loose... Perfectly understandable... That does not mean I am for the violence... But fact remains when people don`t believe in the law... Just like in case 2 of the accident... It is difficult to contain the violence in such cases...

Getting to Kandhamal... It is again impossible to believe maoists who claim they killed the swamy since he was reconverting... Preposterous to say the least... LOL..

To me the only solution to this is for the Church to introspect and find a way out rather than shouting from rooftops... Question is do they have the will... Else we could be looking at a civil war a few years down the line... Cheers......

Cutting across religious lines and the distant past let us think of present India that is 60years past.......what has happened you see!! The locals definitely had the first mover advantage which they missed out on and allowed the missinories to take on the mantle of developing the underprivileged and undeveloped areas. Your justification for today`s carnage where laws are in place, people are much more advanced and wise is baseless and can be best left to yourself. For your kind info, per my best knowledge, the mainstream Catholic church in India is least interested in converting tribals or anybody into their fold!! India has its own solid constitution in place with equally good laws which can be taken recourse to in case there is any truth in these mass conversions. Dear radhika,
Have a happy Durga Astami today.

Why dont you invest something in ETF ? Its nice to have 5% of your investments in Gold ETF. The sale of biscuit and investing in stocks at these levels is really good. Go ahead.

Listen, i loved the words "pongal cow". Hahahaha. I have heard that wearing some gold has positive effects on the nervous system.

A 35-year old Indian-American whiz whose parents migrated from Jammu and Kashmir is being entrusted with task of rescuing Wall Street, th e US economy -- and the pretty much the entire financial world tied to its coat tails -- from a dizzying tailspin that is crushing markets and people across the globe.

US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson on Monday named Neel Kashkari, currently the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs in the Department of Treasury, as the interim head for its new Office of Financial Stability, including the Troubled Asset Relief Program, to oversee the $700-billion bailout program aimed at arresting the US economy`s precipitous slide arising from the mortgage crisis.

Kashkari is one of nearly half-dozen Indian-Americans, including Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who have served in the Bush administration at Tier Two cabinet levels. But the new job clearly puts Kashkari in a different league altogether.

A long-time understudy and associate of Secretary Paulson going back to their days at Goldman Sachs, Kashkari was nominated as assistant secretary and confirmed by the Senate only in July this year in a little-noticed development at that time because it came at the tail-end of the Bush administration`s eight-year run in office.

But the monumental crisis that has spooked Wall Street and the associated world has thrown the young Indian-American engineer-turned-financial expert into the spotlight. Hours before the appointment, the financial world and blogosphere was agog with the news of such a young man being tasked with such a huge task on a day the market continued its downward spiral.

"It seems a curious time to appoint a young acolyte from "The Firm" (Goldman Sachs) to run one of the most critical financial rescue programmes in US history," the Financial Times` blog Alphaville observed, noting Kashkari`s substantial science background. "There is a small matter of experience. He is 35 years old and - if appointed and confirmed - will, as the Wall Street Journal points out, gain a`position of substantial power` overseeing Treasury`s effort to buy the financial industry`s bad loans and other distressed securities."

On a day the Dow tanked 800 points at one point and went close to 9500, a wiseacre on Market Ticker forum wrote, "Seriously? The guy overseeing the $700 billion is named `CashCarry`? You really can`t make this stuff up..." The last time the Dow was below 10,000 was October 2004.

Kashkari has a bachelor`s degree in engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (birthplace of the original Internet browser Mosaic) and went to earn a master`s degree in aerospace engineering to initially take up a career in sciences. He worked as the R&D Principal Investigator at the company TRW in Redondo Beach, California, where he developed technology for NASA space science missions such as James Webb Space Telescope, the replacement for Hubble, which is scheduled for launch in 2013.

But apparently, the call, or lure, of the finance world was so strong that he enrolled for an MBA at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1997. He then joined Goldman Sachs in San Francisco, where he led the firm`s IT security investment banking practice, advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions and financial transactions, before moving to New York where he worked closely with then chairman and CEO Henry Paulson. When Paulson was named Treasury Secretary, he immediately drafted Kashkari as his senior advisor before he was appointed Assistant Secretary in July this this year.

Neel was born in Akron, Ohio, to Chaman and Sheila Kashkari, Indian immigrants originally from J&K, who took the well-trodden academic route to the United States. Chaman Kashkari, who taught at the University of Akron, is now a retired professor of engineering, and Sheila Kashkari is a pathologist. Neel`s wife Minal works for defense contractor Lockheed Martin. The couple has been active in Republican circles with political contributions to the party.

Kashkari is now the second Indian at the heart of the US and world financial crisis. Vikram Pandit heads Citigroup which is now locked in a titanic battle with Wells Fargo over the acquisition of the bank Wachovia.

The sadhus took the country only 60/70 years
But what did the pope do during world war 2
Encouraged Hitler to kill more than million Jews
when Serbian Christian killed Muslim Bosnian
Did he go and talked to the Serbs? to give up violance

Have you seen the Rwanda movie? Do you know that a substantial number of priests, nuns and even Bishops were indicted and a great many were convicted (by war crimes tribunals) for being directly responsible for the senseless slaughter of thousands of innocent Tutsis? Many clergy turned over those who had taken shelter in their churches to the machetes of the Hutu militia. The hatred and division between the Hutus and Tutsis was propagated by the missionaries as favorable for their objectives of conversion to Christianity.
One priest even burned down his own church to kill hundreds of Tutsis who had taken sanctuary there. Two priests were sentenced to death in 1998 for their roles in this genocide and two Benedictine nuns who supplied gasoline for the burning of Tutsi civilians sheltered in their church fled to Belgium where they were later convicted of complicity to murder.

Sister Maria Kisito, who received 12 years, and her Mother Superior, Sister Gertrude, who received 15 years, were convicted of aiding in the slaughter of some 7,000 people who sought refuge at their convent in southern Rwanda. Prosecutors argued that they called in Hutu militiamen to drive people out of the convent knowing they would be killed, and later provided gasoline that militiamen used to set fire to a garage in which about 500 Tutsis had taken refuge.” (Washington Post, June 9, 2001)[6]

What happens to the morals? Simple words!!!
Are you Sure of the priests teaching you?
Do you know when you convert half of the family of tribal`s?Peace get disturbed, brother kills the other
But one brother will go to heaven because he is christian
Should we Indians believe all these?
How much is the DNA difference between one to another?
