Reliance Petroleum
RPL is a five bagger

Business Standard: RPL refinery to begin production in Sept.
The refinery will produce various petroleum products in significant quantities during the testing process itself, said a Delhi-based analyst who closely tracks the company. The products from the refinery are likely to be exported, another Mumbai-based analyst said.
The 580,000-barrels-per-day refinery at Jamnagar will be commissioned at a time refinery margins in India are almost double the margins in Singapore, the regional benchmark. The early commissioning will also help the refinery beat competition from other refineries being set up in West Asia and China, which are being delayed due to rising expenditure in the face of high steel and cement prices.

Reliance Petroleum (RPL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries (RIL), will likely start production from it`s new refinery by early September, reports Business Standard.
The company has already finished with the technical work on the refinery and has started testing the refinery. The company will test various quantities of crude oil by processing them into petroleum products, the entire testing will take around two months. The company will increase production gradually before December to reach full capacity of 580,000 barrels per day.
The 580,000-barrels-per-day refinery at Jamnagar in Gujarat is being commissioned at cost of Rs 270 billion and is world`s sixth largest refinery and is commissioned earlier than expected

I think you bought 1000 shares of RPL in cash and you can hold it for 2-3 months more when it is going to touch abt 200.Start selling in lots of 100 and booking profits when it nears 190 which will be in Oct.You r sitting on a goldmine. Just hold.
If you need money earlier follow DU\\`s advice.Buy 1675 lot of Oct futures and sell a part of your RPL portfolio at 170 or so in near future.

dear nh - In my view, RPL can not fall as the indices fall but it will outperform whenever broder indices moving up. You can just observe the liquid counters for a while like RNRL,IFCI,NAg fert these all are fell more than indices and will move more than the indices but whereas RPL will fall very less when compared to broder indices but everytime it moves up with greater pace than the broader indices. This is the key point for an emerging blue chip.
with thanks

dear prashkul - Yes, it is the right time to buy RPL it may not fall below 150/- under normal circumstances. Previously too we can get the same cues from this stock and whenever it is around 150+ level then sudden buying is emerging and is moving this to 170+ level.
History tells the fact.

New Delhi, Aug 19 (IANS) The petroleum ministry will suggest changes in taxation norms to allow Reliance Petroleum, a 100 percent export oriented company, to sell its products in the domestic market, a senior official of an oil major said Tuesday.
The Mukesh Ambani-headed Reliance Petroleum will also be allowed to introduce different pricing for power and industrial consumers, said Indian Oil Corp chairman Sarthak Behuria.
The decision is being taken following a surge in diesel demand of late.
\\`An approach is being made to ministries of commerce and finance so that the double taxation liability (on Reliance Petroleum) is completely waived, so that it becomes a win-win situation,\\` he added.
Behuria was referring to the fact that since Reliance Industries\\` Jamnagar refinery is an export-oriented unit, catering to the domestic market meant it had to pay customs and excise duties, as well as income tax on profits.
Behuria said there had been unprecedented growth in diesel demand, mainly powered by power and industrial consumers.
While transport and agriculture demand for diesel has grown 10-12 percent in recent times, consumption by power plants and other sectors such as road construction had risen 30 percent.
\\`We are looking to see if we can charge a differential price to meet the industrial power sector. That note is going to be put up to the government,\\` he said, adding that Indian Oil\\`s \\`commitment to meet (the demands of) transport and agriculture is complete\\`.
