National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has informed BSE that a memorandum of Understanding was signed on December 01, 2008 amongst NTPC Ltd, NHPC Ltd, Power Grid and DVC to form a Joint Venture Company to set up with equal equity participation an "Online High Power Test Laboratory" (OHPTL) for short circuit testing facility. Presently, manufacturers and utilities are sending their equipments to overseas testing labs which is not only time consuming but expensive too. The OHPTL facility will test power transformers, LT / HT Switchgears, bus-ducts, CTs etc....

NTPC had touched an intraday high of Rs 161.70 and an intraday low of Rs 151.25. At 2:51 pm, the share was quoting at Rs 160.50, up Rs 6.85, or 4.46%. It was trading with volumes of 2,233,438 shares. Yesterday the share closed up at Rs 153.65.

RIGHTLY SAID NTPC is a good stock for long-term.. but dont buy this stock at current price otherwise u will get into a disaster.. ITS AN OVERVALUED STOCK IN CONTRAST TO ITS PEERS N MUST COME DOWN WITHIN 3 DAYS FROM NOW..earlier I told that this stock will go from 130 to 155 level within 3 days and my prediction came right on target.. now,I suggest people to sell off NTPC at 165 to 168 level and wait for it to come down below 145 level within 3 days from now.. u can re-buy NTPC at 130 level for some handsome short to medium term gains... beware! DONT BUY THIS STOCK AT CURRENT LEVEL,if possible sell and register ur profits ASAP....
