Yes your view is correct. If u hold the share whether in demat form or physical form, as a shareholder u will get all the benefits including bonus, dividend etc.

Essar Steel Holdings Ltd, part of Essar Global Ltd, will invest $1.6 billion to establish a mine-based steel plant in Minnesota’s Iron Range.

In 2007, Essar Steel Holdings acquired Minnesota Steel, which has more than 1.4 billion tonnes of iron ore resources in the Mesabi Range.

The project on the Mesabi Range will include iron ore mining, production, concentration plant, pellet plant and steel making facilities. Minnesota Steel has been renamed Essar Steel Minnesota.

At the groundbreaking ceremony near Nashwauk, the Essar Group Chairman, Mr Shashi Ruia, said, “We are excited about starting this project. Today’s groundbreaking is another step towards our goal of building a large presence in the steel sector in the Americas.

“We thank Governor Mr Tim Pawlenty and the local administration for lending their support to our iron range project. Essar remains committed to North America with investments of over $4 billion in the region.”

If they declare a dividend or bonus, then all shareholders will be benefitted isnt it. Even if the company is not listed, the benefits should reach all shareholders as in their books. Pls confirm this thought.

Don\\`t expect this share to be listed for a long time. The promoters have all or most of the shares in their name. They will first milk the company by declaring heavy dividends and bonus shares. Having done that when the book value is just about Rs 50 they will list it at RS 150+ And then after re-listing you will find the price tumble down!
