Great Offshore is no looking back stock now .......as i said some sessions back that after 500 580 would be the next target. Stock has almost made that level now ...............so people this is called as wealth creation . Cheers to all who paid heed to this from 450 to 580 .

Great Offshore is no looking back stock now .......as i said some sessions back that after 500 580 would be the next target. Stock has almost made that level now ...............so people this is called as wealth creation . Cheers to all who paid heed to this from 450 to 580 .

Great Offshore sets sail on acquisition
Great Offshore soared 5.86% to Rs 552 at 10:18 IST on BSE after the company said it has forayed into port management and single point mooring operations through acquisition of 100% stake in two domestic companies for a consideration of Rs 160 crore.
The company made this announcement before trading hours today, 2 September 2008.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 127.32 points, or 0.88%, to 14,625.83.
On BSE 86,021 shares were traded in the counter. The stock had an average daily volume of 67,275 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 555 and a low of Rs 521 so far during the day. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 1149.95 on 8 January 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 384 on 21 July 2008.
The mid-cap scrip had outperformed the market over the past one month till 1 September 2008, gaining 27% as compared to the Sensex’s decline of 1.08%. It had underperformed the market in the past one quarter, declining 28% as compared to the Sensex’s decline of 11.68%.
The company’s current equity is Rs 38.12. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The current price of Rs 552 discounts Q1 June 2008 annualized EPS of Rs 12.76, by a PE multiple of 43.26.
The transaction is on all cash basis and is expected to close within two months from the date of commencement.
The estimated aggregate revenue of the two acquired companies is pegged at Rs 100 crore in the financial year ended 31 March 2009, Great Offshore said.
In August 2008, Great Offshore’s wholly owned subsidiary Great Offshore (International) took delivery of a high-end modern anchor handling tug-cum-supply vessel.
In July 2008, the company bagged an engineering services contract worth Rs 284 crore from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation.
Great Offshore’s net profit fell 78.6% to Rs 12.01 crore on 39.8% increase in net sales to Rs 202.68 crore in Q1 June 2008 over Q1 June 2007.
Great Offshore is an integrated offshore oilfield services provider, offering a broad spectrum of services to upstream oil and gas producers.
