I have no clue where the bottom is. But there are many indications that steel cycle maybe over. For example, today there are reports that Arcelor Mittal has cut steel production.

All my stocks are down so i guess it doesn`t matter. Just wanted to note that in the midst of general market decline - the steel cycle may be over.

Regards,
Dragon....

Guyz this is not the right time to invest. Its risky as market may give you more lucrative prices in the coming 6-8 months (may be earlier). Theres a possibilty of losing more 30-35% if invested now. I know the current prices are really good, as it can be used for averaging and not for investing in new scripts, but then too I beleive global crisis will crack the support levels as this crisis are going to be long term crisis.

Strategy should be averaging but not now when market floats in the range of 10-11000.
This are my views, you can do your own homework before coming to any conclusion.

happy investing
Cheers. ...

Selan Exploration would give you best returns for sure. It is available cheaply for Rs. 218. It turnover for Q-1 was equal to last full years turnover & Q-1 EPS was at Rs. 13. In my opinion in one year hirizon it should quote above Rs. 500 and two years Rs. 800. For 08-09 it has declared interin dividend of 15%. This shows confidence of management in the operations. Oil exploration is high risk high reward business. On this backdrop, the interim dividend suggests a very bright future for the company and managments caring attitude for investors. ...

VKK43,
I have shortlisted following four shares which I intend to by in this month

1. Selan exploration
2. Everest Kanto Cylinders
3. Gitanjali Gems
4. Rel Petro

I will be holding these shares for a period of 1 to 2 years.

Do you track any of these? If yes, at what level I should buy? Which share I should not buy now / at all?

I will be thankful to you for your help.

I am sorry, at the present juncture, it is difficult to take a call on the above shares, as I do not track the first three shares. Rel. Petro for LT is good, though at present its undertone is bearish....

Hi KARUNAS,

I get a feeling that the steel cycle is over. There maybe some spurts but on the whole the stock prices will go down.

Regards,
Dragon.
