it will take some time....after record dt is announced you will be sent caforms if you are shareholder as on....you can then fill in the form & hand over to the banker to the issue specified along with your cheq....the shares will be credited to your icici.....on allotment........

Hi Can someone please clarify if the shares bought on 28 will be considered for the rights issue??
As the delivery date for these sahres is only reflecting as 9th or 10th september . This implies probably as per my understanding that, on the book closure date that is 5th september theses shares bought on 28th wouldn't have got credited as such in the DP account. This would probabaly inturn make all the purchase on 28th not liable to be considered for right....
Can someone please clarify if this interpretation is correct.

you will get them only after the no delivery period is over. ie., on 9-sep-2008. in the mean while if you want to sell off, you can....

Hindalco Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the Committee of Directors vide their resolution dated August 27, 2008, has allotted 2,27,454 equity shares of par value of Re 1/- to the optionees as detailed in the resolution, pursuant to the exercise of the options granted to the employees under the Companys Employee Stock Option Scheme, 2006....

This means that the Hindalco Shares will be falling to the levels of Rs 96 (If not exatly 96 then around 100) since there would be a time when people an but the right issue at 96 and if stock is at 110 they will have an immediate gain of Rs 14 which is not possible in open market.
Let me know if I missed anything....

Hindalco Industries has approved to issue price of the rights issue shall be Rs 96 per equity share that is face value of Rs 1 per equity share and at a share premium of Rs 95 per equity share. The ratio of the rights entitlement will be three equity shares for every seven equity shares held by the shareholders instead of one share for every three shares announced by the company earlier. The company will close its book on Sept 5, 2008 for the purpose of entitlement of the said rights issue.

At 09:59 am, Hindalco Industries was quoting at Rs 124.70, down Rs 1.68, or 1.33%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 128.90 and an intraday low of Rs 124.10. The company is trading ex-rights. It goes into non-delivery period and will be out on September 5, reports CNBC-18.
