HDFC Home loan rates!
Posted by :
dbatrejaTracked by: 0 Boarder
I already have a home loan. Current floating rate was hiked from 10.75% to 12% because RBI wanted to plug hole on excess liquidity. Now its the opposite, they want to infuse more liquidity in market, hence isn`t it only logical to reduce the home loan rates and give some relief to people like us?
Also, the prices of Crude Oil have come down from USD 141 to around USD 86 per barrel. Govt always increases the petrol price reasoning that global crude prices are high! Now isn`t it time to reduce the petrol price as well thereby reducing the inflation rate?...

Even if Home loan rates are reduced getting a loan would be difficult since the value of property has not yet come down. Banks
will not buy something at 4x when they know the same property would fetch only 2x after some time. It is better to wait for a
correction in the property market and then go for a home loan. This would ensure both the bank and the owner are safe.

Now that RBI is cutting the lending rate to bring in more liquidity, will institutions like HDFC and ICICI reduce the home loan rates and provide some relief to home loan customers? If yes, when? If no, why?
Anybody listening??????????

marketman,
Your point of view about hdfc is not far away from reality. This stock can fall not only to 1500 but to 1200, the level I am now looking for. The reason is what you have already mentioned: FIIs abandoning it.
Things are now very clear for us. ENTER THE FII. MKT GOES UP
and EXIT THE FII, MKT GOES DOWN.
It all shows how Indian mentality is. A habit developed for the last 1000 yrs - the period we were overruled by outsiders. We wait for our investment, till FII enters! And we remain invested, when they quietly disappear with huge profit.

Both the insurance and housing finance business are under pressure at the moment.... fiis will continue to liquidate their holdings in the counter.... the scrip can easily fall to mentioned target in coming few sessions....

Jagdish,
And remember one more thing, the phone banking divisions of citibank, HDFC bank, ICICI BANK are giving information to curious neighbors and relations about the deposits of their rich counterparts... yes they are leaking all information to these guys..... supposing i find my neighbor going by an imported car and i know she has an account with HDFC BANK, if i know an executive in a phone banking division of HDFC bank i can find out the savings of this neighbor.
Did u know recently one mine owner from Bellary in Karantaka bought a car worth 4 crores... actually the cost of the car is only 1.5 crores but the import duty etc costed him 4 crores... what do you say.. would u call him shameless or would u say he is enjoying his money... i dont know what to say but i am very tempted to be this rich and own the best cars, the best houses the best best.. why i like to be this rich i dont understand but if i were in his place i would be tempted to buy the car myself.. is it a sin?

Hi,
Lets see the balance sheet of HDFC now. Since profit is increase from Q/Q compare to last year.
However EPS will be around 80 for FY09 then considering PE of 20 price should be in range of 1500 to 1600 within this year. Also effect of housing recession will be seen on this within week of time. Sell at current level.
