What you have stated about future dividends is more so based on your personal feeling. The company has good reserves to give bonus as in the case of GAIL and also track record w.r.t. dividend. Dividend yield is always one of the most important factors to take any investment decision. In the present scenario, 6 month period seems too short. Even with your buy price the dividend yield works out to more than 7%, so why not keep holding until the stock reaches your desired target. You should take your own decision that meets your purpose conveniently and suitably. ...

Thanks. The continuous down fall of the stock has generally made me cautious, so definitely I will keep on waiting for the probable bottom. The stock`s current fall all throughout is many times associated with more than average trading volumes i.e. so many optimistic investors kept buying the stock all throught its fall. Recently during last 12-13 sessions too the buying interest has been good enough. However sudden selling pressures from any quarters in the already overbought falling stock can cause further price depression, so one has to careful while deciding about the bottom....

Whenever I guess the bottom level and buy, the price slips further down. In such a case also, the average cost price does come down, moreover the dividend yield for the future goes up in long term point of view, in general the chances of safety of investment become brigher, all these are good enough to console me....

I feel the Rohit Ferro stock has been overbought by most investors in view of its good fundamentals and potential. However the market forces have brought down the scrip below its IPO price and also the book value of the stock like many other bests of the stocks. Very optimistic buyers are taking the best advantage of the fall in price. At the CMP the dividend yield works out attractive enough for taking long term decisions.
