Should i avg it?

This stock is something like you wil get for 40 years after 5 years.
But there is a good chance if it makes some good profit in 4th quater it may yeild some goos dividend. at that time it may spark up and may go up to 70. They do have good expansion plans. The company buys crude refines it and sells it at market price. from last quater crude is falling a lot so there profits are going to affect in next quater too. may be 4 quater will be better. Secondly you dont have to worry as company is not going to shutdown as its owned by ONGC govt. I suggest you to average it around 35 and then sell all of them once you are in no loss no profit position. then buy some agin at around 35 anf forget them untill it reaches 100. surely it will touch 100 in another 5 years and you can triple your investments....

IMMEDIATE UPSIDE

Expect some immediate upside in coming trading sessions coz crude will see a bounce back to 70+ levels (up 5% today) & so will MRPL & Cairn India. Good long term buy/hold. Once the expansion work completes along with their own branded fuel pumps, MRPL will rule. Huge Buy !...

If market does not fall much from here, then of course MRPl can b considered for avg. However, if market comes down heavily, MRPL will also come down sharply. I cannot say about next few days, but market will remain weak definitely in Dec./Jan. as the results of current qtr of many companies will be rather poor. Pl take yr decision. If u buy, buy it keeping a time horizon of atleast one year. Taking a trading call may not be advisable....

do you consider time right for picking up MRPL for averaging?
or is there chance of it going below 40 and it is preferable to wait?
i value your considered views.
thanks & regards

MRPL is being beaten down for some reasons for all one knows, things has been so good for the company like abolishen of duties and levies for ATF fuel , MRPL is one of the largest supplier of avaition fuel in India, further if one were to dig into the imports of crude for refining which has come into Mangalore port then the picture one gets is that MRPL should be having a book full of orders and sales are likely to be s record this quarter

Govt Of india , Ministry of Finance should be able to track these Fund houses or individual who play an anti India, anti UPA Govt game in the brouses, these fund houses & individuals have vested interest which are being encouraged by certain sources abroad in the US & UK

Why should the sentiment be bad when the Govt has announced such important good policy decisions, unless off course the anti Govt of India lobby with its vested interest plays in the brouses as is usually seen with headquarters in Gujarat & Rajastan

Of course MRPL has fallen so much that it should go up in case market sentiments remain positive going forward.

Like I mentioned on this board that the Govt had come to protect the Aviation sector by doing away with duties, taxes on ATF, This will definitely give a fillip to MRPL,with crude hovering lower &lower the quantum of refining in tonnage will shoot up and hence the growth in sales also should be evident.
By reducing the export duty on steel the govt had helped public sector steel giant like SAIL and also aided in infrastructure development companies in public sector in their foray abroad

One should realize that as of today all companies in the Public Sector, Govt and semi Govt Companies stand to gain in this turbulent times globally,World over the Govt s are coming to protect these companies by inducements and pragmatic policy solution, hence as investors it will be ideal now to move investments in equities with private companies to strong and fundamentally good public , govt companies like BHEL, SBI,Neyveli,NTPC,BEML, ONGC, BPCL , LIC ETC as defensive investments for next two years or so

Boldy u r right buddy, MRPL is in a win-win situation. This a/h Mukut is the biggest bear out there. I wonder if he belongs to some cartel forcing & scaring innocent invostors to sell at huge losses at these low dirt cheap prices at which the stocks are.
