Hi Mukut,

When the sensex fell more than 1200 points last week, IDFC fell only by 10 Rs (around 12%). There were other stocks which fell more than 20%. So obviously the recovery was fast in those stocks.

Also, its not necessary that people start short covering across all stocks in a single day. This will go back to Rs. 70-80 levels in the technical bounce back continues in the next week...

Today lots of stock moved sharply due to pull back rally and short covering. There was no pull bakc or short covering in IDFC this means this stock has not much short positions opened. Just wait for till bullish patterns emerges due to investors activities. Pullback happens due to trading and short covering squarring off. Once IDFC moves due to investors activities it will not come back to lower level rather it will make upward movement only.

thats right,

this arrangement works out for the 25yr 7.5 mmtpa deal with rasgas,qatar...all the gas from this deal is taken by gail/ioc/bpcl in the ratio 60:30:10.......the end consumers have contracts with the above three.

spot cargoes bought earlier were also averaged with the rasgas LNG and sold to dhabol......gail is the supplier for dhabol....

now 12.5 mmtpa capacity available from feb 2009...petronet can go direct marketing of any LNG it imports over and above 7.5 mmtpa.
its upto the petronet management to decide how to use the excess 5mmtpa regassification capacity....some options already being discussed are

-it can go for most profitable direct marketing.
-it can set up its own power plant and market the electricity... infact its being seriously considered now.
-it can follow the same arrangement it has now with gail/ioc/bpcl....only marginally profitable.
-it can lease out the excess capacity to other players...thats if the company is not able to secure viable long term LNG deal.

Let me reply to this question for benifit of all boarders. The company has made application for RP(Reconaissance Permit), PL(Prospecting Lease) and ML(Mining Lease). The process is, over an area first you get RP, then PL and finally ML. Only after ML is sanctioned, you have to obtain other clearances and start the real mining on ground. If you see the annual report of the company, you will find that few (3 or 4) ML have been recommended by state govts. to the GOI. In all other cases, the applications are either at RP or PL stage which will takes years to reach to the mining stage.
So dear boarders, forget the stock for at least 5 years....

Dear Dinesh,

Thanks for your post. I firmly beleive whenever this crises over ADAG group outperform the market. If you are long term investor you never loose money in any Relieance Group Stock. Dhirubhai Ambani once told that our stock prise will be doubble from the bottem prise within a year. That is bonous for our investor.

If there is a conversion right for the bondholder and a buy back right for the bond issuer, then why it cannot curn concurrently. If I want to continue with the bond, I need not surrender the bonds for buy back offer and hold it till conversion. On the other hand, if I am interested to offer my bonds in buy back scheme, I can still do that. Kindly clarify your views. Thanks....

Regarding point 3a & 3b, conversion rights for the bondholder, and buy back rights for the bond issuer cannot run concurrently.

Hi
Your guess is as good as that of mine. But, such malpracices are common. The insiders are able to resort to such things. About SEBI, least said is better. Apparantly, there is nothing to suggest any particular reason for the current slide.
You are quite right that the approved buy backs have been shelved in other cases as the prices have fallen drastically subsequent to approval. TV Today could be another example.
...

Alembic approves buyback of upto Rs 55/shr, stk up

Posted by : gautam56

In spite of the approval obtained from the board of directors to buy back the shares at up to 55/-, why is the share price falling and till what price?
Is it a ploy by the management to make quick money by selling when investors are expecting the price to rise and then resorting to buy at a much lower price? Will buy back materialize at all like many coy in the past? Shouldn`t SEBI probe into such malpractices?
Would be grateful to get further feed back on the cause of this slide in price from well-informed boarders.

Dear Balusaar,

Stock market IS A TRAP but we realized the same rather late.

We were misled by LT stories,GDP growth rate and such nonsensical & manipulated news.We should not forget these lessons for the rest of our life.

1.No more portfolios

2.No blue grey or black chips. All are same during crisis.During boom black chips gives you better returns than blue chips

3.The only meaningful technical is 200dema.Rest are crap

4.Fundas serve like army during peace time.During war they are the first to fail

5.Any amateur can buy but only experts can sell.

6 In any profitable investment one should take out the investment portion asap.

If global markets goes up, then sensex too will follow them. In this case maximum short term target for this stock can be expected to Rs 18/-.

This stock is likely to stay in the range of Rs 14/- and Rs 18/-, till some big positive news comes from company. By the way, managements of this company are not up to the standard for staying invested in this stock. The only reason for appreciation of this stock to dizzy heights in bull market was involvement of big operators and not due to company profile. If these big operators again comes back, then only price will go up, else nothing....

Dear balconeyseat - Until you write something offensive and there are complaints from other members I dont think MMB moderator deletes messages. However I have observed that if you use some special character like brackets, appostrophes and the like sometimes the messages get truncated.

You are a red flag member and if you give some reasonable and regular good posts then you will be upgraded over a period of time just every couple of months so your messages will not go through the moderator after that.

Please use your descretion and be patient! We have to go through security checks for your own safety in this case for protecting your investment!

Only stocks with tremendous growth potential will give immense profits and nagarjuna is one of that kind.If you look at the future expansion plans of nfcl, cuddalore refinery is being built and will be ready in 3 years.NFCL has more than 50% stake in that and all the share holders will get 2 of the shares of the refinery for every one share held by us.So right there ,there is tremendous value.Other than that once reliance gas comes up,i will allso benefit nfcl.I sincerely believe it is a future blue chip like infy, mrf etc......
