WORLD IS SAME.......ENOUGH!
As Indian and Asian market started tanking since jan (warning of which is given in 2007)one can find many things are changing for so called analyst,experts,fund managers,tv jokers....!
But WORLD IS SAME ....ENOUGH....!
Nothing is changed in world in last one year as such....whatever crap arguments people may give
1.America was in recession and still same.
2.Too many fed cuts was wrong thing leading to commodity bubble and will continue to rise same way and real damage will be seen in coming months.
3.Efforts still on to keep so called artificial financial market in place.
4.Govts killing free market everywhere!(same people allowed these bubbles to form due to lack of regulations in place&also many other reaons.)
Nothing is changed only thing that is changed it people realised they were wrong .....but too late now.
As happens with all analyst they only know tommorrow why they were wrong yesterday!
Its funny that same people who are laughing at 4000 nf target in 2008 when told at 6200 (by me)are now dreaming of 3700!
funny enough they woke up too late!
More interesting will be if nifty gives good pullback what these people will dream again?
I am sure they are capable of dreaming new high again in same year!
But may be nightmares of 2008 will haunt them for lifetime.

Dear HLN,
Good to see you.
Selling calls and writing calls is the same. It amounts to (in my opinion), selling the underlying at the strike price. So it provides a way to sell suzlon e.g. at 63 when the underlying is at 49. A great toool, if used judiciously.
As for what is more profitable, i can`t say.... Covered call should be better in the long run... It reduces the risks... But in the very short term, naked is obviously more profitable IF ones view of the market direction turns out to be right.

SELLING CALLS and WRITING CALLS
Is it the same thing, if not what is the difference ?
Do you think writing Covered calls or Naked calls is more
profitable ? I want to share your expertise with you as
there is hardly any literature available on Selling calls.
Will appreciate your precise answer.

Rightly said by you. Rating the msg is not a solution. Let us see what is the response of MOD on this. I never thought that even such messages would also be deleted.

Also after seeing US markets surge 6%, is ur stand on Nifty falling to 2400 next week still maintained. I did not buy in today`s Nifty upmove as things did not feel right somehow. Also FII & DII figures do not show significant buying by either- Who did buy for the Indian index rise of 5.5 %. Please post ur guidance as always.

Hi investors,
Nifty may test the Resistance range of 2750-2800 on
Monday/Tuesday but it may not sustain above it. Despite
the positive global cues, Nifty may fall very close to
October lows before expiry and then enter into a strong
rally which may lift Nifty to 3500+ level in January.
You may short when and if Nifty touches 2770+ and then
cover shorts when it plunges couple of hundred points
down.

on Monday/Tuesday from where it may fall to the support below
2500.

Hi guys,
As I am new to F&O, I have bought 2 lots of Nifty Put 2600 at a price of Rs. 75 on Friday of 27th Nov`08. As markets picked up rally on Friday before close and also US markets rallied on Friday, I have a feeling that coming Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday might again see rallies higher and Nifty 2600 will go down from its current price of Rs. 52. As my funds are at risk with a total loss of almost 15K, could anyone advise my next move, what I should do? Whether I should sell of on Monday morning or wait until the expiry date and take risk?
Kindly advise!

I see.. I dont have any strategy then... cause just buying options doesnt allow any hedging strategy....
In your position, i would sell a Ce3200 dec call when nifty reaches around 2900.

This thread WILL NIFTY HIT 3600.............. was actually
started by me in January 2008 when Nifty was making new highs
every day. On the basis of my analysis, I calculated Nifty to
hit 3600 sometime in the year 2008 and it did reach this level
in September and then even went much lower than that.
I agree with you that logic behind thread has been proved and
now this heading is obsolete. But I do not for what reason many
boarders are stil posting loads of messages here. In fact I
started a new thread also under the name: WILL NIFTY REACH 4400
BY MID 2009 ? But it has not yet attracted fancy of prolific
boarders like BSR, Lovemeall.

It is amazing to see the body matter having no relation with the subject on the various forums/mesageboards on this site. the most popular example is "will nifty reach 3600 and sensex 12000". Everybody is writing so many things except about the burning suject under this thread. most of the boarders are very intelligent and expert, I think, therefore I expect them to take a serious note of it. Different matter should be written with a proper subject.
