Thermax Ltd has informed the Exchange that the Company has won a Rs. 450 crore order for setting up a captive power plant. The 60 MW power plant will be built and commissioned on a turnkey basis for a green field integrated steel complex in Andhra Pradesh. The plant will use process gases and blended coal as fuel. one could look on buying it in range of 370-400 and exit in the range of 450. short term rally of 25 percent from now , i dont know how much thats possible.
i too hold shares at 480 plus levels, but not seeing it touching 500 soon....

Motilal Oswal has come out with its earning estimates on the Engineering and Capital Goods sector for the quarter ended September '08. According to the report, Thermax's September sales are expected to go up 21.6% at Rs 9,364 million (Rs 936.4 crore).

yes thermax is in manufacturing pollution control equipment company having strong fundamentals and good orderbook positions high dividend paying company managed by reputed house even i was holding 100@376 and booked profit at 100@511 this month and again i am waiting to buy more this time just buy at every dip with the help 100 quantity i have made 2000+rs extra in day trades without my delivery positions cut cmp is @453 buy for long around 370-380 if you can get even at this point is okay for short term but can't predict the market all the best and happy buying...

Thermax is a strong well maintained target oriented Mechanical engineer structural product manufacturing company. They don't manufacture power generators bur are supporting by manufacturing Boilers Heaters coolers and converters. It is a very good company and the shares are split Rs 2....
