Dear DEEP COOL
I have received the annual report for 07-08 and notice for the AGM to be held on 16-9-08 in respect of Reliance Capital. In the page under Director's Report under 'Dividend' column, it is stated that
a dividend of 55 per cent ie Rs.5.50 per share has been recommended for the year ended 31-3-08, for the shareholders whose name appear in the register of members as on 20-6-08. subject to the approval of the AGM to be held on 16-9-08. Therefore it may take at least another month to receive the proposed dividend.
I think you have to wait for some time, checking your bank account.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your kind response. I feel it is a privilege to interact with you on this board.
It may be due to the internal fight between the siblings, the usual procedural activities like declaration/payment of dividend etc. are getting delayed at the cost of the poor investors. It is our fervant hope that the fight between them comes to an end once again with the intervention of their mother as suggested by the Court.
Regards,
Sridharan...

Dear Sri Sridharan dusi,
I thank you for the valuable information, much expected by me for a very long time.
I do not expect a bonus issue now, either from RIL or R.capital.It is unworthy of such a big management to delay the AGM and payment of dividend.
On the date of year end, the amount related to dividend has accured to the company. Once it is decided by the board and announced it becomes the property of the share holders. For the sake of distribution company law prescribes the record date or book-closure period. The CLB even allows it tobe paid as interim dividend and get it declared as final on the eve of AGM. These companies are unworthy of the confidence reposed on them.

Dear Friends,
Do you refer to Reliance industries ltd or Reliance capital?
I have not received the dividend from Reliance capital so far. No Notice for AGM too? Have you got the notice and dividend?
If you mean Reliance Industries are considering bonus issue,by Diwali, I may be permitted to say that the company has a very heavy expenditure for buying RIGs for DEEP sea digging and hence the same be one or two years later possible and not for this year. If my views are wrong, I will be equally happy along with you.

Guys what are we talking about. An ADAG company which has not given dividend Rel Capital has become ex-dividend but many people have not got their dividend till yet. It is common for a major chunk of people to not contact the company/registrar for dividend. And it will stay into the pockets of the company. Individually it ay be a small amount. But when it comes to a lot of retail investors, it becomes a big chunk. The registrar passes you to your depository/bank and they pass you back. secondly it is for long term If someone here is all praises about geting into the stock, think twice about the profit that the person recommending is planing to make once u get into the stock now...

Dear Karunas
That will be really a good news for the investors. If FFIs participation in good volume could become a reality - even if there is any positive signal on that account, the Indian Market will resume its surge once again, I believe.
In addition to that if the news of bonus in RIL is also becomes under consideration of the RIL management, then it will be certainly another trigger to boost the markets.
Let us hope for the best,
and best wishes.
