Hero Honda Motors Ltd has informed BSE that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on October 21, 2008, to consider and approve the un-audited financial results for the second, quarter and half year ended September 30, 2008 (Q2) and to take on record the Limited Review Report of the Auditors thereon....

Buy at 860 ... after 2 days of continuous fall ... this stock will jump back to 900 on 7th Oct.

This is the only stock which is still in GREEN in my portfolio. It is one of the few stocks which resisted the downfall for long and still close to its 52-week high....

Do not buy/trade/arbitrage. This stock is displaying highly unusual trends.
It does not stand to any financial market theory.
Best Avoided ... it can be very volatile ... there`s lul before the storm.

In the short term this stock is expected to touch 950 before correcting.
Its a market leader in 2 wheelers. The competition (substitute effect) from Nano has takena hit and delays will benefit Hero Honda.

In India, two-wheeled scooters and motorcycles are a very popular way to get around. Cars are out of the price range for many buyers, and until the Tata Nano comes out, will remain that way. Other factors are putting a crimp on the spending of many Indian households, including a huge inflation increase and the surging price of fuel. All of these things are likely to have a negative impact on the automotive sector. Some, though, believe that the two-wheeled market is set to pick up some of the slack. In fact, Hero Honda, the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in India, believes that there is a chance it could gain market share in these turbulent times. Some families that would otherwise purchase a second car may choose a smaller motorcycle or scooter instead in an effort to spend less money on the initial vehicle purchase and when keeping it filled with fuel. Similarly, scooter sales have risen dramatically in the United States as buyers find it more difficult to find sufficient credit to purchase an expensive new car and gas prices remain over $3.00 a gallon.

I remember looking at Hero Honda at 640 levels during June `08 or so.
Wonder whats happening with the company that its hitting 52 week highs.

At the current Speed Of Trend, HEROHONDA will become OVERBOUGHT (getting buliish) on 8th October, 2008, at about Rs. 918.44.

It seems that Hero Honda will be rewarding their loyal share holders with a Bonus issue in near future. If this news is true then buy on dips & one should consolidate their position in this volatile market. Regards
