DEAR SIR, Often I come across your letters. I hold your views in high esteem. If some one has some griveance against the pay commission's report, there is other windows in MCB. Commission's report has not been accepted by Govt. Moreover, the person has not understood the implications throughly i.e. 16% d.a is not on the old basi, but it may be on the newly fixed pay + 50% merged d.a. That is why I wrote that the ONGC board is not meant for pay .. rep. discussion.

Sorry, If I have hurt you....

Dear abrac,
Please allow me to say few words. I am also a retired L.I.C.Official and residing in USA. I know the painful mental make up of adjustment within the means of pension. Now the children have grown up and support me . You know well how much we delicately balanced our living between our family members. That is a part of our life and our adjustment is the price we pay for the mental easiness.
So, when ever we want to tell somthing to others, we think twice and then speak out in a low voice. We are not expected to get satisfaction with many things and particularly, over the salary arrears during the pay scale revision. At these moments, we must be a little bit polite towards others and try console those who are not getting in a good fitment,in the new pay scales. That is all. Let ourwords bring some comfort to the dis-eased mind though we cannot do any amendments.
Please excuse this old man, if I have hurt you by sharing my thoughts.
With all my regards,
V.Krishnamoorthy

Dear sir, Again, humbly, I will put forth my view for your kind consideration. Insulate "U & Me" from the unorganised sector. I get pension. I get free medical facility. I get increased d.a. in every 6 months. WHAT ABOUT THE DAILY WAGE EARNER AND THE UNEMPLOYED? Who will provide him with "Social Security", if 50% of the revenue is wasted on the white elephant? If U are / were a (central) government servant, U will agree with me that by offering vol. retirement (I donot use the word 'retenchment or lay off) to 1/3 of the staff, the govt. org.s will work smoothly/ efficiently. This I say from my experience and not any heresay. ...

Unorganised sector needs social security like you and me. But you should not rob rich to pay poor. You should make them rich by other methods. Fixation of min labour, organising good health schemes, pension etc. We should have bench mark salary. There should not be any great difference between pvt and public sector employee

Wall Street mixed on global economic worries
Wednesday September 3, 6:00 pm ET
By Madlen Read, AP Business Writer
Stocks mixed on worries about global economy, despite lower oil and higher US factory orders

NEW YORK (AP) -- Wall Street finished mixed in fickle trading Wednesday, with investors unsettled about the economy ahead of Friday's employment report and only somewhat relieved about sliding commodities prices.
The Commerce Department gave the market just modest comfort when it said orders for manufactured products rose by 1.3 percent in July. The figure was higher than the 0.8 percent predicted by economists polled by Thomson Financial/IFR; the department also upwardly revised its June reading to an increase of 2.1 percent.

However, many traders brushed off the report as old news, given that it is now September. With automakers releasing sluggish August sales and the Federal Reserve reporting weak economic activity throughout the nation, investors proceeded cautiously.

Anxiety about the Labor Department's August jobs report, due Friday, also prevented many investors from making any major commitments. It also had them largely shrugging off another drop in commodities, although a massive pullback in commodities since earlier in the summer has helped alleviate some of Wall Street's inflation worries.

Light, sweet crude futures ended the day down 36 cents at $109.35 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

One reason for the market's muted reaction to oil's decline is because investors are realizing that crude has fallen partly because global demand growth is waning -- bad news not only for energy companies, but also for the technology and industrial sectors. On Tuesday, stocks gave up a huge early advance only to close lower, as investors' enthusiasm about oil's selloff gave way to concerns about the economy in the United States and abroad.

YES GOVT CHEATED OTHER EMPLYOEE THERE IS VERY VERY BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PB-4 BAND stRTED FROM 470000 Y? AND NEW COMER YOUTH CHEATED BAND AND ,EMPLOYEE WORKING NEAR MINISTERS R ALSO IN BIG BENIFT ,THIS COMMISSION IS BAISED ,minisrty staff given direct promotion after 4 years why?bec they r working with our owners
20 crore employee and their family will prove very soon who is owner in next 6 state election
market lose ,salary lose ,inflation 13 percent DA LOSE only 4 percent in this festival seasion big cheating
secretary people getting 10-20 lakhs rs arrier
AND IN THE HISTROY OF INDIA IT WILL GIVE ADVERSE EFFECT ON 20 CRORE ALL INDIA GOVT EMPLOYEE
from this pay one engineer, class one officer ,doc wil get 27-30 thosuand rs only in intial state and rpivate ,mnc people c grade mnc they getting 45000 ,top mnc they getting 2 lakhs per month
NOW BRain drain will start ,no need of brain we r begger and politican , and their helper minstry staff r our onwner ...

Sixth pay commission is GOVT cheating with employee,47 percent DA now only 16 percent ?
i read in news paper hindusthan hindi and many other papers ,times of india DA is 29 percent on july 2008 after pay commission report
and NEW DA ,from next july to dec 2008 should near 10-12 as per price index ,but now we got a order on website as per it DA is 0,2,6,9,12,16 ,i am confuse is it totall 45 percent or only 16 percent if it is 16 percent then it is big cheating with more then 10-15 crores INDIA STATE AND CENTAL GOVT EMPLOYEE AND THEIR FAMILY
govt hike BASICK AND EATEN DA
GOVT employee r not begger ,they give profit to the govt that y they want salalry and they get job after hard competitions
so good salary is their right
SO it should be clear that is it 16 percent total or it is 0+2+6+9+12++16 total 45 percent then it is ok
if it is only 16 percent up to dec 2008 then it is minus 30 percent of uor basic \\`what is salary hike then i think we will refund money from back salary in 2006-2007 where our salary will go negative as per this DA
thanks for uor interset but govt or any employee r not begger and their many deptt give pffit more then 800-900 crore in year
please clear is it 45 percent or 16 percent
bec any index of calulateing DA which reudce salary is not allowable as per law and natural justice when inflation is 13 percent .

what rate if govt merge 50 percent on jan 2006 then also it should be 29 percent so Govt cheated employee through DA ,
And ONLY 10 percent pay hike after 12 years,
PB 4 BAND SALARY AND BASIC DIFFERENCE WITH OTHERS IS more then 40000 rs
infation continuemore then 13 percent and Govt cheated with all india govt job people ,bec same will be follow in state also same
SO THAT MORE THEN 10 CORORE EMPLOYEE CHEATED BY GOVT THROUGH DA.EATEN
AND AFTER DA EATEN THERE IS NO HIKE IN SALARY ,IT IS ONLY SOME HIKE IN TA

Dear Sir, With due deference to your views, I would like to say that once upon a time, I, too, was a central govt.servant and live mainly on pension. I never grumbled over the payments of 3rd, 4th, or 5th pay commission. If U read the articles by other learned writers, U will also feel the pulse of the nation. My only request is : "Pl. donot be immune the sufferings of the unorganised sector."

Your message is ok up to ONGC scrip. rubbish of an unsound mind is unnecessary. Somebody might have posted a message about inflation and general economic condition after pAY Commn report. He is after all a govt servant serving in some capacity somewhere for us/for the country. If we know what they get as annual increment/other perks with so many restrictions including not to venture in share market (You may ask who follows that) you may not call him so.

At the moment the dividend payout is incidental. So,those who have followed the movement of the market price for some period can have a target to enter and also fix a target to get out,if they are able to get 15% profit to their purchase price.
In the next six months, the parliament is to consoder various bills and rush them into acts. This is just to avoid hasty actions in oil sectors. This is my personal view and to do trade is left ,for your will and pleasure.
