Dear Gayatri_bht, from the list given by u, policy no. 3 & 4 (anmol & amulya jeevan) fall under the term plan category. As i mentioned in my prev. post. If u want to take a Term Plan, plz. don't go blindly for LIC policies. Plz. burst ur myth that LIC is safe & all other private ins. cos. r not safe to deal with. Every Ins. cos. is doing business under guidelines set by IRDA. Solvency norms r quite strict. Not every other person can open a Ins. co. If u go thru the list of Life & Gen Ins. cos. u 'll find most of the time the frontline Indian business houses or banks 7 financial institutions. To name a few - SBI, ICICI, HDFC, TATA, Birla, Reliance.......... An interesting example - some 3-4 years back, there was a Life Ins. co. in India named AMP Sanmar. due to some differences between the indian & foreign partner, both wanted to shut shop. IRDA intervened & asked Reliance to take over all the policies, offices, employees of the same co. in this case, it was made mandatory to reliance from IRDA, that whatever terms & conditions & products were made for original policy holders of AMP-Sanmar from the parent co. the same 'll be honored by Reliance now. In case of term plans, as no moneyback (read returns from the policy) at the end of policy term, the only deciding factors r - 1. the cost - the prem. u r paying for the cover 2. customization - what other added features/riders etc. r available under the plan with no or minimal extra cost 3. The claim procedure - It should be simple, easy & ur family should get its dues within time. Ultimately what use of ins. is, if there is no money in case of claim. Also the claim settlement record of Ins. co. So it is my personal advise to check the term plans from all ins. cos. & then only decide which one is better for U.Plz. cover urself adequately. Also while opting total ins. cover for u, opt split term cover as suggested by me to so many boarders here @ MMB. Thanks Ashal...

He is talking about ANMOL JEEVAN & AMULYA JEEVAN. Anmol Jeevan - minimum is Rs 5 lakhs Maximum is 24 lakhs There is no restriction on the number of policies. If you want more than 24 lakhs - you can take say, 3 policies totalling to 25 or 30 lakhs. Amulya Jeevan - minimum is 25 lakhs. When putting money in insurance - look at the ratio between ANNUAL PREMIUM & SUM INSURED. The one with the least ratio is more beneficial to you and less beneficial to the agent as well as the insurance company. DO NOT LOOK AT MATURITY VALUES....
