It is an open example of how buy/sell calls from brokerage houses are coming.

Every call (whether buy or sell) has got a hidden idea. A vested interest is hidden there all the time.

Fools that we may be if we follow these so-called experts.

Dear Kadiyali,

I cannot disagree with you. You my be right. Why RIL alone, even in the case of L&T, ABB, ICICI too.

"we have now reached a stage where it is foolishness to sell these stocks" I only mean that all the stock prices have fallen to a very low level,(even upto 75-85 level) and by sellig what we can realise? It may also mean that we are already in huge loss.

In my case L&T is now in red, my buy price of ABB is 1100 while I have icici from 351 to 1350 level. You can now understand who was the real fool here.

Dear bhusbhac,

This refers to your reply to INVESTOR 11.

I have seen your post reg FII holdings in RIL.

It is interesting to read an article like this when there are lot of data to be supported.

You say that RIL is a good hold as well as psu banks.

It is difficult to oppose your argument as it has taken well with detailed accounts.

As per your report, the stocks you mentioned have improved the BV in 2008 from 2007.

In my case I hold RIL, LT, ABB and icici bank. All of them are now in red (as I did not sell them when they were in green). The present position was not on expected lines. As rightly said, the experts and news channels sensationalised the stories thereby creating panic in the mkt. We have now reached a stage where it is foolishness to sell these stocks. Time will change and position will also change. What we need today is some patience.

I know you are not advising for a hold or distribution. We can exchange views in any situation.

Varner,

What can I say about reliance pack! It has packed a lot of people in magic boxes.

One thing, from what happened in the past can be clear that it is the reliance pack which lead the sensex to cross 21K, making many ofour friends here millionairs and then poors later on.

It is the same reliance pack which is now leading the sensex for a nose dive. Thats what a leader can do these days.

Feankly speaking, I cannot make any predictions, predictions are just like accidents. One thing is almost clear. The present mkt is not favourable and is indicating negative trends only that too on a prolonged basis. Reliance pack cannot over take that trend, irrespective of how powerful it can be.

yes KARUNAS, it is a big national loss but whose nation it is!
When it comes to the individual pockets, your or my share is so small and nobody can see how drops can make a sea.

Likewise, today none of us is bothered about the nation, INDIA. It is our narrow lanes after that our village or mostly our countituency that matters.

When we see people talk about giving away Kashmir just for a few votes, emotional issues like marathi or gujrathi, sometimes I feel that I should not have born here. A country of divided houses! But we have people to talk so much about what happens to the tamil speaking people in Srilanka and not about those millions of poor people who do not even kow where Srilanka is.

And we have people who oppose the tatas or ambanis from starting a big business by which millions can be fed and the nation can take some benefit. Now a time has come, we may have to suffer a lot as the global smoke is enterig into our country. Who bothers about it! We can always talk about OUR PEOPLE, OUR CASTE, OUR LANGUAGE AND OUR PARTY that is what is required to get a few votes and a few seats - we have seen the value of even a single seat which grows bigger than a govt.

In one way Raj is doing the same thing others also do in their own fashion. Here it is a hating game. Tell me, who is playing a loving game in the country now?

Gurupada,

It is not the economy that would be taken care of in an election year but politics.

Every govt on the eve of ending their term has made it as a habit to announce lot of populist programmes with a view to catch votes. First of all, the announced programmes may not be implemented and even if to be implemented, it becomes the burden of the next govt which takes over. The opposition parties find it difficult to oppose it as they are populist programmes. If rice at one rupee per kg is announced (it has been done so many times), who can oppose it but all the players do know it well that implementation of the same is not possible. So what? Vote is waiting there and that is important.

Economy is destroyed by these politicians. And they will continue to do as nothing else they can do now.

Manmohan is an economist but even he will not say a thing if the congress is going to announce such populist programmes. We all know that he is being utilised by remote control.

You may be right, KARUNAS.

The game which is being played is called politics. Raj needs marathis for his victory, so he has to play a game which may attract them.

The state govt cannot survive without marathi votes but they cannot go along with Raj for a long way. But they can appreciate from behind and try to fish in the troubled waters. So he is being protected in the name of law and order. At the same time make a show of opposiing him just for the same law and order game. (It is like the same story where the boss sends his henchman to kill his opponent and shoot out him using the police so that the game plan is not revealed at any stage - the work is well done).

As far as centre is concerned, it plays a different game by which they can show that they are neither here nor there but leaves the law and order case as a state issue. Indirectly doing the same thing that the sate wants to do.

This is the case we see everywhere in India irrespective of which party is in power.
