After Citigroups` recommendation to buy CESC with a target of 290/-, it has come to light the following strange movements in the share:
Shares traded[BSE&NSE]: 2204161
High of the day : 212/-
Low of the day : 171/-
52 week low : 165/-
Could there be a bulk deal whereby citibank/or its associate have offloaded?
Such high volume of shares[I do not recall in recent times]have been traded during the day- don`t you find smoke somewhere?
I have posted this message as food for thought and would appreciate any info in this context.

Citi has recommended price target of 290/-.
As per your principle, is Citi luring investors to a higher level so that they can exit at a profitable level?
Or do they fall in the 10% category cited by you?

Broking recommendations are big shit.I bought Angel broking recommened stocks which were beaten down by almost zero, Some of them are prajay down from 480 to 17 , Godawari power and ispat bought recently on recomandation of angel broking at around 200 now its 65, There are many to name . Broking firms takes money from companies and give buy recos.So never trust any recos from any broking firms. Only 10% are true 90% are false recos.

Because Angel Broking has recommended a revised target of Rs.449/- for CESC scaled down from Rs.560/- with an investment period of 12 months.

Cesc Ltd. has informed the Exchange that in order to improve the distribution network, control systems and downtime, the Company has entered into a one-year contract with SP Global Solutions, a Singapore based company for consultancy support, technical assistance and transfer technology for power distribution and improving downtime in power supply....

Angel Broking has recommended a Buy rating on CESC, with price target of Rs 202, in its report dated October 31, 2008. At the CMP, the stock is trading at 6.0x FY2010E EPS and 0.7x FY2010E P/BV
