Folks,
Please read my first article on RELIANCE POWER, dated 16-SEP-08. This is a rejoinder to that. I kindly request the fellow boarders to read previous posts, so that you can read the various posts made by other boarders as well and understand the various facts and then decide to BUY/SELL/HOLD.

I am petrified to note that "RAJESH TAMBE", HOR, SUNCHAN SECURITIES has given such an aggressive target on RELIANCE POWER so "early". The TV anchor should have asked him on what grounds and what projects they are carrying. The duty of the FUNDAMENTAL ANALYST is to give opinions based on the existing projects or may be 1 year forward etc, and not what can happen in 3-4 years. This is GROSS :( HUH. This same analyst has stated that TORRENT POWER will go to Rs.400 by JULY 2008 and we know where TORRENT is today. Hence be rational and do self study rather than go by tips/rumours etc.

In a highly euphoric market may be it can reach the target 1000 or maybe even more, because of the rigging of share prices and again the RETAIL will get caught and hold the shares forever and they may never get those prices again. Remember INFOSYS share price is "SAME" what it was trading almost 9 years back. Such is the ferocity of BULL/BEAR markets that stocks can reach irrational valuations and inspite of great management like INFY they cant do anything. Remember that RELIANCE POWER IPO pricing was done at the time when the market was at the highest level of EUPHORIA. Dont forget that, the IPO pricing was done at CRAZY levels. Also less than one year of TRADING HISTORY they have added the stock in NIFTY. It was never the same before and also SEBI is working differently today.

RELIANCE POWER @ CMP 165 tantamounts to a MARKET CAPITALIZATION(MCAP) of 40,000 crores. In my previous post i clearly mentioned that it is equal to the sum of the MCAP of many of the majority of the private players in power sector like TATA POWER, CESC, TORRENT POWER, KSK ENERGY, GVK POWER. It is crazy valuations and hence the possibility to sustain is absurd. It will take atleast 2-3 years for any of their ambitious plans to fructify. And the current price fully justifies all those ambitious plans they will announce. One needs to understand that the MCAP of Rs.40,000 cr would mean its equal to half of the mcap of BHEL or an L&T. These companies are built hundred years back with terrific execution abilities, proven names globally. Dont expect Ambani's will start some new comany and get some 10,000 crores or 30,000 crores worth of orders in the next 2-3 years and they will overtake BHEL, L&T. You have to look at the execution capabilities etc and long gestation periods.

In short if RELIANCE POWER has to trade at 1000, then the MARKET CAPITALIZATION should be "hold your breath" ......It should be approx equal to 2,50,000 crores which is currently equal to 3 times that of a BHEL or LARSEN & TOUBRO. Now open your eyes wide and decide what you will do with such grossly valued stocks.

I noticed that one of the fellow boarders was stating RNRL as a "SMALL CAP" , because he was thinking that it was trading at Rs.79 and gave target that it will touch Rs.1000. Its trading currently at MARKET CAPITALIZATION of Rs.13,000 crores and do we call it as a SMALL CAP. It is trading at MCAP equal to that of JP ASSOCIATES and more than that of PUNJ LLOYD. That gentleman has no clue of what is the difference between SMALL CAP and LOW-PRICED stock. That is kind of knowledge they possess on stock markets and because there is a board, we will not "abuse" it by writing whatever our emotions state. There will be some small retail investors who are not knowledgeable will get cheated and lose hard earned money. We should be accountable to our comments we make. Such kind of responsibility of our's will help the society and not comments made with vested interests and irrationality.

Hope this helps and also feel many of the other fellow boarders feel the same as I do.

Good Luck.

I provide above Resistance (R1,R2,R3), Pivot (P) and Suppport (S1,S2,S3) levels for Monday, 22nd September, 2008 for those boarders who need such

information. A more exhaustive list of SUPPORT & RESISTANCE LEVELS for some of the major counters is provided at my HomePage here at MMB.

Boarders not knowing what all these levels and figures are about may please Google-search for "Support & Resistance Levels". Given below is the routine

procedure for setting up your trades (PIVOT POINT trading) based upon THESE levels :

For LONG trades : the COUNTER should open above the Pivot Point, cross R1 and remain there for some time. Take a position with R2 (bullish) and/or R3 (very

bullish) as target. Use just REVERSE POSITIONING for SHORT trades ... use S2 (bearish) and S3 (very bearish) as downside targets. Happy trading ! ALL AT YOUR

OWN RISK & RESPONSIBILITY OF COURSE !!

R-Power gets 1,800 acres for Andhra project..................................Reliance Power, an Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group (ADAG) company, has got possession of 1,800-acre land required for its power plant in Krishnapattnam. The land will be sufficient to begin work for the main plant and related facilities, and a further 700-acre land for residential and ash ponds will be acquired soon.
The land was acquired by the Andhra Pradesh government and handed over to a special purpose vehicle (SPV) created for Coastal Andhra Power (CAPL), said a source.

The SPVs are created by the central government to facilitate faster implementation of Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP), each with a capacity of 4,000 MW. These SPVs, which will get government and regulatory approvals, are transferred to companies after they won the bidding. Thus, CAPL is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Power.

The acquisition is in sharp contrast to the problems faced by the Tata Group at Singur. Tata Motors have stopped work at the plant because of protest against the land acquisition.

The government may allot Coal India-held Semaria block to Reliance Power (RPL) for its Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP), reports Economic Times.

Sasan Power (SPL), a special purpose vehicle of RPL, has already been allotted three coal blocks, Moher, Moher-Amlohri extension and Chhatrasal in Singrauli, by the coal ministry.

The Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on UMPP has now asked the coal ministry to examine allocation of Semaria coal block to the SPV as it is linked to its existing Moher coal deposit and standalone mining there is difficult and expensive.

The existing three coal blocks for Sasan have a reserve of about 750 million ton. Semaria would add another 20 million ton to the reserves. Together, the coal blocks could feed more than one project of the company.

For information,with regards

Reliance Power may also get Semaria coal

NEW DELHI: The government may allot Coal India-held Semaria block to Reliance Power (RPL) for its Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP). The proposed move comes close on the heels of government permitting the company to use excess coal from captive blocks of Sasan project to fuel its proposed 4,000 mw Chitrangi power project in Madhya Pradesh (MP).

Sasan Power Limited (SPL), a special purpose vehicle of RPL, has already been allotted three coal blocks — Moher, Moher-Amlohri extension and Chhatrasal in Singrauli — by the coal ministry. The eGoM on UMPP has now asked the coal ministry to examine allocation of Semaria coal block to the SPV as it is linked to its existing Moher coal deposit and standalone mining there is difficult and expensive.

“Semaria coal block is a small patch of coal deposit with reserves of just over 20 million tonne. It’s seams are in continuation with company’s existing Moher coal block. So SPL would be in a better position to develop the block along with its existing coal blocks as it would need no additional land for overburden dump or other infrastructure,” a source said.

The existing three coal blocks for Sasan have a reserve of about 750 million tonne. Semaria would add another 20 million tonne to the reserves. Together, the coal blocks could feed more than one project of the company.
