The financial meltdown has taken a heavy toll on America`s health.

A survey by the American Psychological Association has revealed that as many as 80 per cent of Americans are stressed about their personal finances and the economy.

And, what`s shocking is that the women are the worst sufferers.

In fact, more than eight out of ten residents in the US now straightaway blame the declining state of the country`s economy for much of the anxiety in their life...

Bubbu,

I bet ur counting money? lol.. what with morgan stanley up 60%... how much money one can make in a day.. we wait for 60% returns in MFs.. and here we can have it in a day.

There is so much of knowledge one should have to trade markets like CDS, CRR, SLR, PLR etc etc... and now the tug of war between MFs and banks... and FMS and governors interacting like never before... EQUITYSURGEON is missing in the midst of all this..... Its so difficult for the average graduate... best is a study of technical indicators to know when something is appeased and when trouble is brewing.

TA = Short term lens...

One needs to be extremely careful before entering this scrip. Management is neither transparent nor honest. The buy back announced is subject to so many approvals from various departments in different countries/share holders etc. that there is not an insignificant possibility of the whole thing getting into a long drawn controversy. Without the buy back offer, share will not command a price of more than 30 rupees. rpgarga...

Everonn business model does not require huge land bank or big assembly lines. IT based industries will always have low B/V compare to their market prize. Check Infy or TCS

True, the brokerage report putting out a target of Rs1100/- came out when the market was on a bullish mode.
And,now, in a bad markt, is it not reasonble to expect atleast 50% of that ie @Rs/550 when the market stablishes and at Rs225/ is it not a safe investement?
And, like oil, is it not reasonable to expect that land, that too a big chunk in a prime locality (the basis of the report was, mainly, the land bank) is something of crtitical resource whose value may not depreciate substantially?
How many listed Companies these days can boast such a low equity of around @40 crores ?
The point is it is a very very safe investement at the present level and the comapny should enjoy a steady cash flow in about 2 years when the developement of the property would have been completed and with very low equity base the share holders will benifit a lot

All the best

EMCEE,
I have seen the report earlier also in feb. But this reports were generated when the market was bullish. Notonly BD,there were hundreds of reports which gave higher levels. That doesn`t mean it will go to that levels. So with change in sentiment, the target price also changes.

In reply to:

Kuselan Impact

Posted by : ravi_pro

Kuselan was bought fo 65 cr by PSEL (PSTL Singapore subsidiary). Anyone has an idea on the quantum of loss on this movie. I read different stories like 20 cr loss and another one saying collections from tamilnadu was 25 cr but overseas collections were good etc. Moreover Pyramid would have sold the movie to smaller distributors and theatres on MG basis so they should have covered the cost to some extent.

Pls see below link. Worst case I guess loss will be some 20 cr but mcap of this company has already eroded by 250 cr in last 1 month. I think all the bad news should more than be factored in already. Otherwise Saminathan won`t pay 200 per share as on today to Nirmal.

Any comments??

Jatt,

On days like this, to a rank novice it might seem like OH ITS SO EASY TO MAKE MONEY IN MARKETS.

But most of us have not profited in the last 10 days at least becoz the markets are opening gap up and down and even a day off in timing means a wipe out.

Look at DOW for instance daybefore it had a 1000 point swing and closed at low point of day. I knew it will not slide that much coz its TRIN was so bullish. But ystdsay its TRIN was 17, and they are climbing up slowly and steadily today. Naturally those who bought when the TRIN was bullish will wait for positive sentiments to build and will sell later, and that we will see maybe tomorrow or dayafter. So these gap ups and downs are decided in that 8 hour sleep period. If an 8 hour gap can destroy our wealth ITS NOT SO EASY TO TRADE SUCH MARKETS. lol

Lify,

There is some problem brewing up between banks and MFs...

Too much redemption pressure on MFs for which they have to borrow from banks, but banks are not lending them money considering the turmoil. This might lead to some problems in the coming days. Better to be cautious adn have one PUT in case of emergency.

Never CNBC between 7 and 8:30 pm beginning with opening bell for US markets and closing with the UPDATES with Shereen, Harsha, and Vivek Law.

SKUMARS went up 50% today, can you imagine the amount of money one would have made in this counter. Its a shame i dint make any money today. SBI up 10%, everything up up and away... really sad i never seem to have anything to boast on these days. Have to take a hard look at my timing.

I said NYSE TRIN is neutral which is bullish and it played out today.. lol after 3 days in a row of neutral TRINs.

Ytday their TRIN was 17 and it will play out couple of days later maybe.. lets see.. this timing has to be right for raking in money.

But even being a trader once a day on a day like this is enough. MARKETS SEEM SO EASY YET SO DIFFICULT. Sigh!
