Dear treasureddhan,
Love for our own country is one thing, but comparining the two countries is different.
WE are neither better economically neither safer than US. Just being emotional is not enough. ` Mera bharat mahan` .. my foot...
IN a country , where people still defacte in the open , & dont wash their hands after that. 70% of our brethern, are still longing for drinking water, half of them go to bed with empty stomachs.

What are we talking.. We are just ridiculing ourselves.
US or world economy may be in deep waters right now, but in the worst of times they are better than best of times of our economy .
You should thank your stars that the, world has slowly started knowing a little bit of,`India`because of our `techies`, otherwise, what you find in your `MAHAN DESH` , leaving a few cities. Hunger, powerty, exploitation.
Get out of your IVORY tower , & have a look at `your` INDIA.
INDIAN Stock markets do not describe `Economy OF india`, they only `highlight the wealth of few`.

I apprecate your concern for your loved ones. But the fact remains that US economy is going to dwindle in the coming days and the purchasing power of the common man in that country will be dismally low. It is better all the Indian leave the country be back home ,India is much safer country than US at any point of time. It is not that I wish US should go to dogs, but it is deep water, which none can save it

Friend,

DUstocks is not a tipster but a methodologist.
He is doing a very good service in MMB and many have benefited because of him.
Check for details before criticising anyone and if X fails do not be blaming A~Z.

Thanks...

I concur. Its not only DUStocks but ALL stock-market tipsters who have failed,in fact `Flash News` c/o Dalal Street Journal and one of the most expensive tipsters has given all losing tips and if one followed them then one would have been ruined eg they gave `Core Projects` as a strong buy just three days back and yesterday it fell by a whopping 43%!!
I subcribe to them `cause I make a note of their recommendations and also that of quality tipsters on CNBC etc and then by and large do the opposite.Believe me,it works!

it is time to buy and accumulate now as the stock is undervalued. i can not believe that the combined entity of real estate arm and telecom is just 13000 crores. unitech has close to 10000 acres of land and hence combining with Unitech telecom the combined entity should be atleast worth close to 18000 crores. so it is time to accumulate the stock

It is apparent someone or many are selling ICICI. WHY? In stock market in the long run the rumours become true. Earlier there was a rumour that promotors are selling ICICI shares. Some of my friends even bought ICICI shares. It looklike that FM, SEBI, RBI are helping the punters and promotors to sell and asking the retail investors to buy. SEBI should provide data regarding ICICI share holding pattern on daily basis. That only will remove the fear among investors. People are only talking about liquidity position not about the bank balence position. Something is fishy. I want the rumours to be false as my banker is ICICI. I was comitted to this bank either it fail or succeed.

as per exchanges settlement cycle whatever purchases are made on 29th and 30 sept credit of shares will be made on 3rd oct and it is a full proof arrangement no one can deny about it however by chance if short delivery comes then in this case closeout method is to be followed so you will get back entire money with some addtional money due to closeout exchanges transfer shares to broker account and borker transfers shares to client s account on the same day if payment is made for the same however in your case shares may be lying in their account and they are telling lie about the same sometimes broker says that you are eligible for bonus but due to time factor we will you this shares with bonus shares generally this of system is followed in both the exchanges do not panic if you do not get you can fight out in many ways with the help of exchange sebi etc....

Thankyou everyone and Tunga for your overwhelming replies to my query. I am experienced myself and has been following markets for a long period of time, its just I had a serious accident few months ago and I am bed ridden these days. I was very confident myself that I would get shares as I bought them cum bonus, what actually triggered a frustration and anxiety was ICICI Securities Senior officer calling me by and saying I will not get shares as they would be credited into my account bot before 4 th OCtober and record date is 3rd, I tried to explain him I have a right to get shares as it is not record date but ex date which matters, he tried to prove me wrong and said I can take up this with anyone higher authorities I would like to, I guess these ICICI people are morons, I wonder if they can create a mess with me who at least have some sense of settlement and market, what would they be doing with people who have very innocent. Wish you all a very happy investing and may we all recover all our losses and make some money too. god bless us all.

I too think so. US$ is gaining while Euro and British Pound is falling. In case US$ is becoming weak, then its Dollar should weaken and not vice-versa.

Dividend payouts cannot be guaranteed to be consistent and does not always reflect the company`s past payment record. In these times when interest rates are very high and raising money is very difficult, the management would want to preserve cash by stopping/reducing dividend payouts and holding on to it for their own needs/expansion plans....

In reply to:

Will Indiabuuls Securities hit a low of Rs 15

Do you think they will stop paying dividends ? or decrease the amount. If so please explain your view. I am hopeful only.

The present carnage in the market is mainly due to Sub-prime collapse connected with the real asset values collapse in US and UK. This may shortly spread over to India.Realty stocks valuations in India look attractive, but the future is very gloomy, may be perhaps most of the companies undergo huge losses due to demand crunch. That is why FIIs are selling these shares at any prices....

In reply to:

no volume

Posted by : Kautilya

Well, one thing is never go by what these brokerage houses say. Since January this year I see 95% of there calls going wrong and it makes no sense to go by their words. Regarding Prajay here is what I found out
1. Low promoter holdings (16%) and very high FII holdings (70%) [as of 30th Jun-08]. FIIs are facing huge liquidity pressure and they are selling at any price and booking losses.
2. The Real Estate sector is in a crisis and nothing has been done to revive it till now. Probably if the RBI cuts the interest rate (could happen around Oct 24th when the RBI meets) then this could be the first positive sign for the sector.
3. Even if situation improves then investors will first flock to large caps like DLF and Unitech therefore recovery might be slower and prolonged for Prajay.
4. The management has shown little concern towards the investors. The best thing they could have done was announce a buy back which would have not only increased their holdings but also given support to the stock price. Unfortunately this is not happening.
5. Given that the promoter holdings is low and the stock price has cliff dived from around 480 levels Prajay could be an acquisition target which could be good news for us investors, but again for any corporate raider there are many options today in the market.

NO RISK NO GAIN. IF IT IS IN COMPANY WITH SOLID FUNDAMENTAL STRENGTH AND INHERENT VALUES WHY NOT KEEP THE SAME WITH YOU IN PRESENT MARKET CONDITIONS WITH YOU ONLY.

Well if you really see its balance sheet its net current assets are in -ve which means they have more liabilities than current assets so i dont see any financial strength in the company to withstand a lean period . Even 120 rs looks too much for it. 200 is way way above it. Anyway its better to be careful than being wrong.
