At todays NSE closing price of Rs. 40.50, Guj Ind Power is available at a huge 46% Discount to the Book Value of Rs. 75. Good scrip. Huge expansion already underway.

Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd has informed the Exchange that due to the fire in the main Lignite Feeding Conveyer System at 2 X 125 MW Unit of the Companys Surat Lignite Power Project (SLPP), the Company is constrained to stop the generation of power at SLPP Plant till the same is repaired. It appears based on the preliminary observation that the Conveyer System needs repair on account of the damaged caused to it. Accordingly, it is likely that the repair work of Conveyer System may take about 20 days. All necessary actions have been initiated for expedition for the purpose. The Insurance Company has been intimated about the material damages and consequential loss of profit on account of the same which is under consideration. The compensation as and when received will be considered in the accounts appropriately....
