Hi,
Got this from a friend

"There is a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.
Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for
survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: -

(1)

EMERGENCY

* The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112..* If you find
yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an
emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to
establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. **Try it out.**

(2)

Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call
someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.
Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other `remote` for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor`s Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!`*

(3)

Hidden Battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call
and you don`t have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve
battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# your cell will restart with
this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This
reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.
AND

(4)
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone`s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.
You probably won`t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can`t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones."

I will admit its hard to come to grips with our current financial crisis.

You see I have become blended. In the process of all my research and discovery, I have lost a little bit of my individuality. I am guessing you might be in the same boat. You all concentrating so much on your own work, family and financial needs, that it can be difficult to remember that not everyone lives your life and faces completely different problems.

I know thats where I am. You see, for now, I have been fortunate. I dont know anyone whos lost his or her job in all this mess. No friends or even friends of friends who have lost their home to foreclosure. I dont even know anyone who had to move because they couldnt pay their mortgage.

So if this is what I am seeing then (remember everything just seems to blend together these days) its easy to assume that everything is okay.

Its easy to think this is JUST a Dalal Street problem. Sure, its spilled over to cars and housing but these industries have always been – and will always be – in boom-bust cycles. Hot economy…lots of new cars and houses…secure jobs. Its almost too easy to believe that nothing new is happening here…no national crisis.

But the fact is: This time IS different. The -mess- will be coming to my world. I know it. I can feel it. I have no proof…Everything still looks the same but…

This could all easily change. Neighbors wont always be able to pay those mortgages/credit cards Bill. Friends can lose jobs. New car purchases will be put on hold. Cooling economy…layoffs…maybe even foreclosures.

The world is changing – and its about to reach your neighborhood and mine, whether we are ready for it or not. And it will look a lot like the world you have been reading about.

Dear Mickey59,
,,Konde,, is ,,Horn,, in kannada, horn as in a rhino.
When I joined college at the age of 16 I used to
tie my hair in a way that it looked like a horn on
my head, the way most Sardars due when they are young.
Even though I shifted to a turban at age 19, the nick name
hung on. KONDE....LOL

HEALTH Minister Anbumani Ramadoss has been making a serious effort to legalise homosexuality in India. His reason: The country should recognise the increasing acceptance of homosexuality worldwide because such tolerance would ensure "an effective fight against AIDS."

Under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which was established under British rule in 1860, homosexuality is a crime that carries a punishment of life in prison.

So, effectively this law makes it illegal for a physician to treat Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), as well as for a health care worker to advise MSM about HIV.

What are your thoughts on this?? ...

When it was 21K one was advised not to get out of the market by most analysts, commentators&"experts" save a few who were sneered upon..
Now when it is below 12K it is still what is an attractive buy etc..
Always it is "what to buy" and never what to sell or dump or liquidate..
These experts also tell you that "timing the market" is not important..which has been proved disastrous to investors who never bothered about timing and simply bought "fundamentally sound scrips"...
Now it is proved yet again that timing is as important as selection of a scrip..
Another thing these experts confuse you is with words like "short term, medium term and long term"..God only knows that these fellows don`t know what they are really talking ...
Fluency does not mean meaningful or even truthful..will the masses that follow these ever change?

Samuel Butler said what he said because that was what he believed, He was one among the majority who believe.
And your question as to what i believe in, it really confused me, I am not too sure, may be its relationships that i believe in.It may sound a bit silly, but this is what i could come up with. My mom always tells me that its relationships that are the most important aspect of life. But she also tells me that I should start believing in God or I may get kicked out of the house some day.Lol
And I dont know why but i seem to have created an impression of a sullen, angry sort of guy on MMB. But I guess its ok, its kind of nice to be known differently from your actual self....Change is nice:D
And you can call me Konde, it was my nick name in college. And I think I visited your homepage after getting enlightened about the fact that you are a lady, but nothing much on your homepage. One personal question, if i may, Its your mom or your mom in law who has Alzheimers?

Dear Atheist,

Forget all other things and listen.

Can you deny the existence of energy in the universe ? What you said ? I can hear your No. Good !. Every action from the beat of a heart to formation of constellations is guided by some energy in different forms. This omnipresent energy is what we term as GOD which is the very basis of every existence and its destruction.

A simple corollary follows from this is that we also are guided by some energy inside us which we call SOUL. The difference between a living being and a dead being is this driving energy( or SOUL, at least for theists ). Even the greatest doctor on earth cannot deny the existence of this energy within us. Medical science is speechless about the name of this energy.

One more thing. According to physical science all are born with the same basic constituents. Then why the difference in feelings ? Mind you, feelings and intelligence are not guided by hormonal imbalances and different gene structures. Then whats it ? Again its the difference in the quality and quantity of energy within us. This difference is what we term as KARMA.

Listen, the energy in the outside material universe is more than what we have inside us. To be more energetic in mental and physical levels, we have to transform the energy from that higher level to our lower level. This is what we call PRAYING.

I am really tired and loosing my vital energy. My fingers will bleed typing till you understand the concept of God.
